[Stats] What can I do to improve my results?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some help identifying leaks in my game.

I play on RedStar Poker. In April I played NL4, and in May I moved up to NL10. I've been taking poker seriously for the last two months, focusing heavily on studying and improving. I only play about one hour per day and spend most of my poker time studying.

My sample isn't huge, so I know it's dangerous to draw strong conclusions from stats alone. However, I also know that even a moderate sample can often reveal tendencies and potential leaks that are difficult for me to identify on my own. I'm currently building a new study plan for this month and want to focus on my biggest weaknesses first, so I'd really appreciate any feedback.

Current stats:

WTSD: 29.75%
WSD: 53.37%
WWSF: 49.98%

One leak that I've already identified and am actively working on is over-aggression on rivers, particularly bluffing too aggressively in an attempt to force "prestige folds" from opponents; that and overcalling.

Beyond that, I'd love to hear what stands out to you from these stats. Are there any obvious red flags, population exploits I might be missing, or areas that you would investigate first if these were your numbers?

Thanks in advance for any insights.

chatgpt will do a lot of heavy lifting for you, its not perfect and sometimes it makes assumptions that are incorrect but if you plug HHs in there or ask questions its not bad! I use it to gameplan on how to structure diff strats against diff player types.

Based on your current stats it thinks:

These are solidly “aggressive-but-not-crazy” showdown stats, but they do suggest a slight leak in how often you’re going to showdown and how often you win there.

Here’s how I’d read them together:

1. WTSD: 29.75% (slightly high)
Typical winning regs are usually ~24–28%
You’re going to showdown a bit too often
This usually means one (or more) of:
Calling too wide on earlier streets
Not folding enough to turn/river aggression
Bluff-catch frequency a bit too high in marginal spots
Or value range is a bit capped when you arrive at river decisions
2. WSD: 53.37% (a bit low)
Strong regs are often ~55–60%
This is the clearest “leak signal” in your set
Combined with high WTSD, it usually means:
You’re reaching showdown with too many medium-strength bluff-catchers
Opponents are value-heavy when they apply pressure (you’re paying them off too often)
Or you’re over-defending rivers where population underbluffs
3. WWSF: 49.98% (fine / slightly low-normal)
Solid benchmark is ~48–53%
You’re right in the middle, slightly on the passive side of aggression
This suggests:
You’re not being run over (good)
But you’re also not winning enough pots without showdown to compensate for the WTSD/WSD imbalance

Thanks a bunch. I do use chatgpt a lot for studying.

How many tables are you playing at per session? Sometime less is more. Focus quality decision than quantity automation. Your losing too much on Small and Big blind. The limits your playing not much thinking players. So tighten up more on blinds position (position is King). Follow your thread see you crush in near future.

Really appreciate it.

I play 4 tables per session.

Yeah so I know I suck =))

Full description of a leak that I just discovered recently:

At this stage, I would say one of my biggest problems is that I only understand individual poker concepts, not the hierarchy and relationships between those concepts inside the reasoning process that produces a decision.

Super aggressive play without putting your opponent range. Cut down your table to two max or even 1 table (one limit up your comfortable). Learn to take notes on players (color reg and etc) and watch them when you’re not in hand. Missing many opportunity steal small wins. Aim to win as many small wins than the big ones. Being boring is best. Lastly, table selection really important. If you on a table can’t find the fishes just leave. 🙏 All the best

New leak: What's surprising is that I already knew all of the underlying concepts, yet it still took me a long time to connect them and identify this one.
