Well gang! Your boy Zzoop is back on the grind at the microstakes! Never let the dream die. I quit, I got stacked, roll on the table many times, here we go again! I'm currently taking my 5NL shot after small sample grind at 2NL.

The dream is still alive... let the run good uh.. run good I guess. 😀

bro 12 years after you still at nl2 wtf lol

You are a troll lol

Yeah, I know. I'm not ashamed. I have the heart and commitment to the game.

(And you'd be surprised at how many faces/usernames i still see at 2NL after 12 years, I'm not the only one - shout out to all the 2NL regs out there!)

EDIT: Also, correction, i'm taking a 5NL shot right now, so not still at 2NL in theory.

Paisting gonna be so mad when she finds out someone is beating NL2 games.

Well my 5NL shot went bad -

Back to grinding 2NL for me! maybe next time will be better!

This was the hand that put me back to 2NL:

Granted only better calls, but i mean, it's 5NL? I thought there's other donks like me playing? I've seen KJ, KT, even flush draws here... anyway... will grind up another few buyins and take a shot again at 5NL next time...! 😀

Holy crap the poker Gods are on my side! I put my whole roll on red on stars online casino, because i'm tilted, but i doubled my roll! i'm untilted now!

I refused to drop back down to 2NL, so I put my roll on the line on roulette and it worked out this time - now i'm bankrolled for 5NL. I can't go back to 2NL, i have to gamble my way up the stakes, whatever it takes. I know this is frowned upon, but I had to do it. I've been watching the higher stakes games, and they are full of donks like me, so I should be profitable. Anyways, now I have a healthy 5NL roll thanks to being a degen and putting my roll on the line on roulette on tilt. Thank you poker Gods!

Current bankroll: $600 and change. Time to crush 5NL!

My mindset, unfortunately, has always been "results orientated" - i could play 2NL with a $300 bankroll with optimal play, but when i took my shot at 5NL, i was tight and playing scared. Now i have a massive roll for 5NL, i think i will be able to play optimal, we will see....

I'm glad i'm making this post, and yeah, it's embarrassing to say "yeah i'm playing 5NL because i put it all on red" - but i mean, the psychological factor of money is a big deal. I feel more free to play poker with a large roll. If I was a millionaire playing high stakes, it's the same, they dont give a toss - so now I have the roll for 5NL, i'm going to grind in earnest to get to my 10NL goal which will be 75 buyins or 750 big ones

rooting for ya OP. Eye of the tiger, thrill of the fight

Thanks. After tilt shoving my roll on red (and winning this time) - I took a break, re-evaluated, realised that I still need to work on my game, so I'm going to grind another 10 buyins of 2NL and retry the 5NL shot again. I'm still learning, still making mistakes, but I'm only human. I will update this thread not that much, probably weekly. with results. I've self banned myself from casino games and higher limits than 5NL, so my roll is technically "safe" from a quick bust.

Still grinding 2NL, though I'm rolled for 5NL, big time, but I'm just trying to refine my preflop 3B game as well as spots where I should be bluff shoving rivers. I will stay at 2NL for another while as 27k sample is not big enough sample to show I'm a winning player at this level. That might be a bit nitty. We will see.

Current 2NL graph:

27k sample size:

The good thing for your win rate at 2NL is that villains get married to hands. For example, villains can't lay down a set, or AA - or in this case, BOTH!

Yeah, beat: I cashed out like a coward, just seen too many paired board rivers, which would have put me on life tilt for the day.
