hey guys, my name is jack. Im 30 years old, live in toronto, run a stable ( team 651), play hu hypers for a living. Ive set some goals for myself and ill be discussing them here. i will treat this thread like a blog and keep you guys updated as to whats going on in my life. some of my goals for this year include

1) playing at 6 percent ev for this year ( currently 5.54)
2) reading atleast 24 books
3) taking my girlfriend on atleast 3 vacations ( took her on one so far)
4) never hit the snooze button
5) eating mostly a plant based diet and staying away from fried foods,soda, popcorn, ice cream, bacon, and chips.
6) weigh 180 lbs by the end of this year ( currently at 170)
7) meditate for atleast 10 mins every single day
8) go to the gym 5 times per week consistently
9) coaching team 651 players for 60-90 mins five times per week
10) i also have some other goals that i wont share just yet

this is where i will be updating on all of these goals + more. And answering any questions you may have. thanks

Hey guys, as promised ill be writing my 2024 goals down below. You'll notice that a lot of them are the same or similar to my 2023 goals. Alright everyone, here are some updates on my goals for the year of 2024 and how everything is going so far

1) Always doing this, solidified habit at this point

2) been going out for 45 mins everyday when its sunny to get some nice vitamin d, have an incredible outdoor pool area in my building and been taking full advantage of this

3) def not consistent here, been a life long struggle for me but almost always im up before 11 so will take it

4) been eating healthier then ever this year i would say, been eating tons of beef so have to check to see that cholesterol is not getting out of control. The main thing i've been doing is cutting a lot of sugar out of my diet and staying away from ice cream and desserts

5) big fail on this one, im about 169 these days, i really need to step this up if i wanna get to 182 but this goes against eating healthy so ill have to find some middle grounds here

6) i have changed this goal to 5 mins per day, i feel better with 5 mins of focused meditation and find i get a bit unfocused and try and rush when its 10 mins

7) i always try my best with this and i believe things are going very well on this end

8) consistent here for the most part

9) easy stuff here

10) very consistent here too

11) consistent here

12) very close here! im at 7,390 steps per day over the last 365 days so superrr close and will get this done with couple of massive walking days

13) trying my best here but def still slouching a lot more then i'd like to

Alright everyone, its that time of the year to recap on the 2024 goals one by one then will be posting my 2025 goals later today. I hope everyone has a happy holiday season and has made progress towards their long term goals. If you haven't yet then 2025 is another shot to get back on track.

1) Always on track with this all the way through, there was a time in the year where i was listening to youtube videos instead of audiobooks but its still educational stuff so all is good on this front

2) I did a ton of walking this summer to get vitamin D, had more steps in 2024 then i have ever had in previous years as i sit so much from playing poker, really proud of myself for doing this

3) This one has always been a bit dodgy for me, there def have been times where i wake up at 11 or 12 or even 1pm. For the most part i wake up between 10 and 11 but i can def show more consistency here

4) Bit dodgy on this one as well since i basically stopped eating vegetables all together because i can't seem to digest them properly. I eat mostly beef with potatoes/fries or rice. In the mornings ill have eggs and bacon and this is my entire diet. Arguable if this is is healthy or not but seems to be fine for me and i love beef so will continue a similar diet moving forward

5) big fail on this one, i weigh probably around 171 right now and this has been a lifelong struggle for me to balance a healthy diet with putting on weight but lets see how 2025 goes

6) i changed this to 5 mins of meditation which i feel is enough for me as of now, i may switch back in the future but 5 mins per day is enough for me to put my mind in a calm place

7) going strong with this

8) been doing this as well, still trying to figure out a way to recover quicker from my workouts. Everytime i work out i get sore for an entire week afterwards and this is the only reason i can work out only once per week. Feel like a truck has hit me especially when i do legs. Could be a genetic thing

9) i switched my study routine so that i study 3 times per week atleast 20 mins per day so a total of atleast one hour per week in solvers doing maintenance work. This is in addition to the thousands of hours i've spend in solvers over the years so i feel very strong on this front

10) been mostly consistent with this up until the last month or two where i've been going once per week and i will be changing this goal next year to once per week minimum but will still try and aim for two

11) switched this goal as well to three times per week at 15-20 mins stretching per day. Its working out well so far

12) achieved this one, really happy with this because as poker players we sit sooooo much and its not good for our health. Its very important to be walking and getting that movement in so i've upped this goal to 8k steps per day in 2025

13) this has always been a bit of a struggle for me especially when im on the toilet or sitting on a couch i always tend to slouch over and seem to be forming a slight humpback taking after my father. I try to be very aware of it while im walking but when i sit down i slouch without noticing at times

2) I will easily walk outside for 15 mins- 1 hour everyday in the morning/afternoon when the sun is out in the spring/summer to capture some vitamin D

3) I will easily wake up at 10.10 AM every morning without hitting the snooze this year

4) I will easily eat healthier then ever before, a diet mainly around beef and trying to cut down sugar as much as possible

5) I will easily weigh at minimum 185 pounds in the morning with sweatpants on by the end of this year

6) I will easily meditate for 5 mins per day and feel in my body three things i'm grateful for

7) I will easily make sure that Team 651 is running its absolute best and optimized to its fullest potential, and marketed everywhere. Stay consistent with the coachings and always ask for feedback

8) I will easily go to the gym at least 1 time per week this year to do very intense workouts and push my limits, i will listen to music while at the gym to motivate me to lift heavier

9) I will easily study Lucid GTO/ GTO wizard at least 20 mins per day three days per week no matter what, this will help me gradually get even better and compound in a huge way

10) I will easily be consistent with taking lessons in public speaking/improv at least once per week to get more comfortable presenting in groups

11) I will easily do my 15-20 min stretching 3 days per week

12) I will easily take at least 8,000 steps per day on average throughout the year of 2025

13) I will easily improve my posture at least a little bit and be aware of it at all times

I also have some private goals in addition to all of these ^^ best of luck to everyone who has set out some goals for 2025 and lets get this!

Hello humans, as promised will have my year end goal review and also will be posting my new goals for 2026, exciting times ahead!

1) Very consistent with this, if you're not spending your mornings in the bathroom listening to audiobooks or a podcast then i highly recommend you start doing this

2) i got so much sun during spring and summer but my vitamin D levels are still very low so i decided to finally supplement it!

3) been iffy on this one, sometimes i wake up at 10 but other times at 10.40 or even 11. Can be more consistent here but will be moving this up for 2026

4) have been eating really healthy but changed my plan on this drastically. I am eating wayyyy less beef now because my cholesterol levels are really high so i've been eating a ton more chicken, salmon and turkey along with veggies and other healthy stuff

5) hit this goal just barely, i hover around 183-185 range in the mornings these days but gonna be looking to push this up just a bit

6) always do this

7) always on point here

8) going three times per week now including two group classes and one personal training class so hoping to really put on more muscle and size in 2026

9) easy peezy, sometimes admittedly i don't feel like doing this but i always force myself into getting this done

10) stopped taking improv classes about 6 months ago but doing the toastmasters which is more convenient since its in my building. This def gets boring but keeping up with it

11) im stretching 30 mins per day! about 3 or 4 days per week so overhit on this goal

12) slightly missed this as im at 7,500 steps per day but even with that said im bumping this goal up to 10k steps for 2026 to really get these steps in and challenge myself to take it to another level

13) i try my best here but my posture has always been an issue for me and i have a slight hunch in my back just from sitting on computer chair and hunching over far to frequently

As promised, here are my 2026 goals. Excited to get this year started and do my best to make it better then all previous years

1. I WILL READ EVERY MORNING IN THE BATHROOM AND TAKE SMALL NOTES SO I ACTUALLY USE WHAT I LEARN.

2. I WILL WALK OUTSIDE EVERY DAY FOR 15 TO 45 MINUTES IN THE SPRING AND SUMMER TO GET SUN AND FEEL BETTER.

3. I WILL WAKE UP BY 9.30 EVERY MORNING WITHOUT HITTING SNOOZE AND FEEL PROUD OF MY ROUTINE.

4. I WILL EAT AT LEAST 75 PERCENT OF MY MEALS FROM A HEALTHY MEAL SERVICE THIS YEAR.

5. I WILL REACH 195 POUNDS IN THE MORNING BY THE END OF THE YEAR WITH STRONG MUSCLE ALL THROUGH MY BODY.

6. I WILL MEDITATE FOR AT LEAST FIVE MINUTES EVERY DAY AND THINK ABOUT THREE THINGS I AM GRATEFUL FOR.

7. I WILL RUN TEAM 651 AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL AND KEEP EVERYTHING CLEAN, ORGANIZED, AND OPTIMIZED.

8. I WILL GO TO THE GYM AT LEAST THREE TIMES PER WEEK AND TAKE STRONG WORKOUT CLASSES.

9. I WILL STUDY LUCID POKER OR GTO WIZARD FOR AT LEAST TWENTY MINUTES ON MONDAY, TUESDAY, AND WEDNESDAY.

10. I WILL MAKE AT LEAST ONE YOUTUBE VIDEO PER MONTH TO TEACH, INSPIRE, AND HELP OTHERS.

11. I WILL TAKE ONE PUBLIC SPEAKING OR IMPROV LESSON PER WEEK TO FACE THAT FEAR AND GROW.

12. I WILL STRETCH FOR ABOUT THIRTY MINUTES AT LEAST THREE DAYS PER WEEK, MOST LIKELY MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, AND ADD FRIDAY OR A WEEKEND DAY WHEN I CAN.

13. I WILL HIT 10,000 STEPS PER DAY ON AVERAGE AND KEEP MY BODY MOVING.

14. I WILL WORK ON MY POSTURE EVERY DAY AND KEEP MY BODY STRAIGHT AND HEALTHY.

15. I WILL REACH 600 INSTAGRAM FOLLOWERS BY POSTING MORE OR USING TWITCH WHEN I CAN.

16. I WILL PLAY MY WEEKLY POKER SCHEDULE AND FINISH NO LATER THAN 11.30PM SO I CAN UNWIND AND SLEEP WELL.

17. I WILL DO AT LEAST 30 MINUTES OF ZONE 2 CARDIO THREE TIMES PER WEEK WITH A FAST WALK, A JOG, OR A LIGHT RUN.
