I created a better way to study poker: live poker hand database
I’m a recreational poker player with ~4 years of experience at live $1/3 and $2/5. One of my favorite things about poker is the endless potential to improve.
Discussing hands is the best way to learn, but hand histories (HH) have some issues:
No standardized format: Everyone writes them differently.
Hard to visualize: "Ah Qd 2c" isn’t intuitive.
Missing details: Positions, stacks, and pot sizes are often wrong or omitted.
Tedious: Writing them is a pain.
I built a platform to address this:
Centralized for live poker: This site focuses solely on live poker HHs, perfect for studying and discussing.
Standardized HHs: Uses emojis for suits and standardized formatting for different streets/betting action
Easy to log: Utilizes shortcuts to make it easier to write HH
Filters: Sort by blind level, pot type (SRP, 3BP, 4BP), and position (IP vs. OOP).
Save hands: Save your favorite hands for later.
The platform’s in beta, and I’d love your feedback! Check it out and let me know what you think!
