Caveat, I haven't actually read this book, but it was published fairly recently and is apparently designed with new players in mind.

You might check out some of Jonathan Little's free YouTube videos. He's good at providing a framework for newer players to improve rapidly.

That RIO book linked above looks fine to get the basics down. Most essential poker theory is freely or cheaply available in some form or another, but it's stratified across the poker landscape. Plenty of youtube dudes to follow who will show you the way. GTO wizard has lots of good beginner stuff like this. RIO's essential tier is fine. But playing is more important ultimately at the start because without unconscious understanding of where you are in the tree, you won't be able to follow what instructors are saying anyway.

Specific recs are hard for such a generic question as 'help'. a) everyone learns differently, b) everyone is at a different stage of learning and c) it often boils down to whose personality you can stomach. So go find someone you like/can keep up with and go from there (feel free to ask 'is X any good'). As a general rule AVOID old school planks who never even play anymore like Miller, Red Chip and numerous poker 'celebs' and stick to players who currently, provably, crush online.

I know, but sometimes you just have to limp, example: MTT, 2(+) limpers before your turn, stack about 400% BB, low pocket pair like 55 or 77. Sometimes it's the best option.

Arr , fair enough. Someone needs to write the ultimate book on limping to settle this once and for all. Title suggestions:

Limp
The Art of the Limp
Do limp; Don't Limp
How I gave up Limping and became a financial success for dummies
We who wrestle with limps
Beyond Limping

Trouble is all the successful limpers out there are too busy LIMPING to produce such an elucidating tome (!)

I can then:

- flop a set >>> check or all-in
- flop two under cards without A or K >>> all-in
- flop is paired with TT(or lower) plus card lower than Q >>> all-in
- opponents can check any other flop >>> see turn card
- flop two runner-runners without A or flop an open-ender >>> check or all-in
- flop one under card plus runner-runner flush draw without A >>> check or all-in
- trips on the flop >>> all-in

And all thanks to a limp 😀
