Solver output for small blind
11bbs calls for limp, push, fold / 5bbs it’s all push/fold. I don’t limp in 1/3 but when very short it offers the chance to play a lot hands and offer a bad price on shoves. What I didn’t realize was how short.

It seems almost comical to say $15 stack is push/fold and a $33 stack is limp/push/fold. More than a $33 stack opens the min-raise option. Not too many people get down that short in cash games.

Tell me what I’m missing - are push/fold charts important when you have to be very very short before they come into play. Working my way thru DailyDoseOFGTO and always have questions. Thanks

You can play push/fold 10bb deep, it's just not as good as including limps in an MTT situation.

Cash games are different than MTTs though. There are no antes so less incentive to call. And no flop no drop style rake incentivizes you to take down the pot pre rather than limp. So you can probably play push fold much deeper in a cash game.

That said, most coaches will just tell you to top up rather than trying to implement a short-stacked strategy. While playing short actually offers a small theoretical advantage, more opportunities to stack slots players usually trumps that.
