Improving study efficiency: Voice-activated Equity calculator (Prototype)

Improving study efficiency: Voice-activated Equity calculator (Prototype)

Hi everyone,

I’ve been working on a small utility to streamline my off-table study sessions and wanted to get some feedback from the theory community.

The main issue I faced during hand reviews was the friction of manually inputting cards into equity calculators. It breaks the "deep work" flow. To solve this, I developed a lightweight tool that uses local AI voice recognition to input cards hands-free.

How it works: You simply dictate the hero's hand, villain's range (or hand), and the board (e.g., "Ace of Spades, King of Hearts on Jack-Ten-Four rainbow"). The tool parses the speech and updates the equity instantly.

Key focus:

Zero Latency: Uses a local engine, so no cloud lag.

Focus: Allows you to keep your eyes on the solver or your notes while dictating cards.

Privacy: Everything stays on your machine.

I am not selling anything. I am looking for a few experienced players to test the voice recognition accuracy and the overall UI/UX flow.

Note on Fair Play: This is strictly an off-table study tool for post-game analysis. It is not an RTA and is not designed to be used while any poker client is open.

Since I am a new member, I cannot post external links yet. If you are interested in testing this prototype, please let me know in the comments or send me a PM, and I will provide the details.

Looking forward to your thoughts on whether voice-commanded tools have a place in a modern GTO workflow.
