Warning about Pokerstars Support

Backstory:

I’m an American who lived in Thailand for 4 years 2016-2020. I played on stars with no problems then and always had my questions answered in a timely manner.

Fast forward a couple years and I returned to Thailand for a 3 month trip with another poker player from Poland. I was able to play on my account with no issues. Depositing/withdrawing as an American is quite difficult and often I would use player transfers as my method. On our last day I asked my friend if I could transfer him my BR. He didn’t want to receive all of it as Stars wasn’t his most volume based site. I said thats fine and sent a good portion of my BR. Immediately after sending the transfer stars said my account was undergoing a routine security check and my account was temporarily closed in the meantime. This was December 2022, with still a large chunk of $ on my account.

It has been a year and a half later and my account is still ‘temporarily suspended’ and ‘undergoing a routine security check’. I receive an email from them probably once a month where they ask for paperwork that I’ve already sent them numerous times. It’s a complete **** show over there and no progress has been made. I have sent them everything they’ve asked for and answered all of their questions. My $ is still frozen.

Just wanted to share my story to warn of the lack of support on their site. I considered them the face of poker for a while but they’ve lost that. If you ever need support for anything you’re doomed. Please be careful playing there and don’t put too much $ on. They can’t be trusted and don’t care about their players.
