***PokerStars Promotions Ideas/Suggestions/Opinions Thread***
Here we can discuss anything related to PokerStars Promotions(regional or non-regional) , if you have any ideas to make, suggestions, your opinions - all can be discussed here.
Some Ideas/Suggestions I have:
1) Represent your Country (Team Play Tournaments) - It always feels great to represent your country and it would be really great if we can represent our country at PokerStars. I know there exists World Cup of Poker, but it's a play money tournament and the final is a live tournament. It would be nice to see an online world cup of poker held yearly. Format can be something like: Players can choose any country from list of 40 countries(top 40 countries with most players on PS which can also include USA) , and the team points/score will be based on the avg position of its players. 50% of the prizepool will go to individual players and remaining 50% of the prizepool will go the winning team.
2) Battle of the Sexes (Men vs Women) - I have seen lot of women players showing interest in poker lately and most of them play very aggressively and they are known to be risk-takers and it would be nice to see them giving tough competition to men. All the men players will be labeled as blue and all the female players be labeled as pink and 96 random players will be chosen from pre-registered players of each genders to make it fairer to both genders and will battle against players from their own genders and the winner from both the gender will play a Heads up. Format can be like: 8max - No late-registration - Shootout - Winners from both of their genders will play a HU.
60% of the prizepool will go to individual players, 40% of the prizepool will go to players of the gender who wins.
3) Monthly Red 500 FPP or 1000 FPP Tournament where the prizes paid can be anything from poker accessories to clothing, customisable items, electronics including apple ipad air and stuffs like that that are included in vip store.
^These are my ideas - doesn't have to be exact the way I mentioned , but it would be nice to see a team play tournament, men vs women tournament, a red fpp tournament with prizes included in vip store.
Some Promotions that needs to be back:
1) Discounted/Half Price on Sunday major tourneys
2) Set your VIP Goals/or Reload Bonus for all type of players
3) Knockout week/Mixed Game Week/Omaha Week/Hyper Turbo Week etc
4) Regional Online Poker Series(Fri-Sun) - Like Asia Online Poker Series, America Online Poker Series, European Online Poker Series, etc all series running during the same period and only accessible to players from those countries ofc and doesn't have to be a week long, it can start from Friday and end on Sunday.
^ These are the promotions I really enjoyed but please get rid of your daily challenges/mission weeks/ all in shootouts - they really suck as you have very very low chance to win and honestly after completing few challenges and getting nothing out of it, I feel very discouraged to complete remaining challenges and I'm sure many others feel that too.

Can you do points / rakeback leaderboards etc. regarding Sit & Go's. Anything that would resuscitate non-existent SNG traffic really.

What a sad path PS has gone through. As a cg player i fully abandoned the site when they removed all challenges and LBs.
Today i got an email offering an unrefusable challenge:
"get started, your Throwables Challenges are here – the ultimate way to test your poker skills.
12 thrilling tasks. 16 throwables to win.
Plus, your first reward will be totally free. All you need to do is login and a Throwable will be yours."
What a joke :(
Not sure if you received but I got that email and then few days later one for reload bonus up to 1K.

I got the same thing.As if by winning throwables will make you a better player.
Make zoom 3max by default minimum instead of a opt in toggle.
Zoom/Cash games.
majority of players are regs and are good at poker. There are features in zoom that are really slow and honestly annoying.
Zoom came from FullTilt back in 2006s, but world has changed
-> if you win a hand. you got to wait 2sec for your pot to travel to you. As you win, you should start a new hand ($ should go to stack automatically). I get that it was made to look realistic, times changes man.
-> if you are in a multi way pot with no hand (ie u dont flop) u got to wait all the slow rolling people before u can start a new hand. "Quick fold" doesnt work. It's possible from programming perspective to make it so u fold, whilst wait your turn to fold automatically. Zoom poker's quick fold should do what it advertises. GenZ are dopamine junkies. For people whose overall level isnt great - you still have time bank.
-> if you quick fold your hand with chips in the pot - it takes another 2sec to wait for pot animation to travel to the winner. lol; we just want to play next hand.
Throwables.
throwables are fun only short term when there's a challenge to acquire them. GGPoker is more fun because there're emotions. You cant really express yourself with throwables; most of time they are used to troll or flame someone. If I was the "head" I would just leech the idea (whoever has high roller players playing has immense advantage or reputation as a poker site; they chose GGPoker; best sites just master the basics or fundamentals whilst staying simple. Notice FTP had option to change avatar emotions). game lacks aspect of emotion or communication.
I haven't played any cash games, maybe there's possible to speed up the game too (for multi table playing regs that do suck.. at the same time kills poker).
online poker has edge over live because you get to play more hands, there really is no reason to keep it slow (I mean, 2024 is not even comparable with 2016)
--> (amount of) hands played is a cool feature that adds a intrinsic value to accounts. kudos.
Couldnt find a Pokerstars cashier thread so just asking here... anybody know a GOOD way to get help with withdrawal issues? Those clowns in the client chat just read off a script and have no clue how to solve problems. I cant even find a support email on the site anymore. Oh how Stars has fallen when it comes to customer service...

So here's my problem, I hope someone here can offer advice.
I have been depositing/withdrawing with no issues by Visa card for the past 5 years. My card expired and my bank issued a new one. So I deposited a small amount, played a little, and tried to withdraw after 2 days to test the new card. PS verified and approved the withdrawal by email like usual. A few minutes later I get a second email saying the transfer to my card is denied and I should contact the card issuer. The withdrawal amount was credited back to my account. I did that but my bank has no record of receiving and denying any transfer. PS is not willing to do anymore to help find out why its being denied. There should be some kind of tracking number from the payment processor shouldn't there be?? I mean without a tracking number, I am forced to just accept their word that it was even sent. Now, I know that PS doesn't do shady stuff like stiff customers, especially for a small amount, but now I have no way to withdraw since the first money deposited has to go back the same way it was deposited. Any advice would b be appreciated 😁

If I was in your situation I would contact support again but this time let them know I want to know specifically why my withdrawal is not being processed and if my problem is not solved or I am given no specific reason I would initiate the complaint procedure with the regulator.
Just a suggestion but if they ignore your requests for at least a reason then you are justified in taking this action. There should be something on Stars site on how to do this. Small amount or not you cannot trust the site going forward until this issue is cleared up.

Thanks but I'm not going down that road. TBH, its less than $100, but the principle is important to me. Also, I want to deposit more so I can play higher stakes but unfortunately I dont have many deposit/withdrawal options where I live. I've been using Visa debit cards with PS for years now and this is the first time I've had an issue like this. My plan for now is just play it and if I run up a good amount sell it off and say goodbye to Stars if its not resolved.
