But god damn it just hit me tonight how negative and nasty democrats tend to be. Trump's interview wasn't a big deal. That didn't stop Kamala from releasing a notice talking down to it. Or 2p2 posting a swath of repetitive fury about Trump.
I wish Trump's opposition wasn't so mean spirited. I'm right in the middle trying to figure out how to vote, and the whole thing just fuels my depressive symptoms. Shame on many of you for not taking a higher ground.

I hope you give a lot of thought about how important it is for a President to be honest. Trump lies at basically every interview and rally. And it isn't just sometimes like basically every other President (even Obama lied or made mistakes but his level was the lowest of any President). Trump is lying probably more than half the time. Some of his lies are exaggerations but sometimes they are extremely serious. Like that he won the election in 2020.
If Trump becomes president again it is likely that he will alter how elections are managed and whether or not there would even be another election. And if so, that he would somehow be allowed to be the candidate again.
When Trump talks he is completely out there crazy. When Biden talked just about every right wing poster would make it a point to stress that Biden was too old to be President again. That he couldn't talk. Etc. So in fairness to the way right wingers assessed Biden why isn't it OK to assess Trump's mental acuity and honesty as well?
Your choice for who to vote for may come down to the policies that are most important to you. Like Abortion. Or Immigration. Or the economy (Trump's goal is to decrease taxes for the wealthy and businesses which would again increase the deficit by trillions of $ as he did in his first term). Or even potential pandemics and how the President would treat it. But if you care about the future: the Republican party currently isn't for dealing with Global Warming, deaths from guns (especially at schools), inflation (shutting down immigration would increase inflation which was likely part of why inflation skyrocketed during Covid and also increasing China Tariffs would cause inflation to go up as well), LGBT+ rights (especially Trans rights), and likely a lot more I am forgetting.
I try not to be mean to posters here. Even when they call me a "blatant liar". Because I choose to post here in order to help people come to the decisions that would help the country. And especially to help posters like you who are undecided.

To me the purpose of the interview sounded like Elon was lobbying for a position in his administration to review and lower government spending.
My favorite line from Elon was early after their 20 min. talk about the assassination attempt, Trump said something to the effect "If I got hit, we wouldn't be talking right now" and Musk said almost under his breath with a giggle "well we'd still be talking but from another place" (if u kno u kno).

Typically media ignores stump speeches because its been a thing for 400 years and its explicitly not news worthy but when you've watched your polls drop 15% in 2 weeks I guess you have to throw everything at the wall.
