WE have a postal strike going on here in Canada but it baffles me how we still have daily mail service. No one needs it . We could easily get by with once a week

There are still dinosaurs. We're a good 30 years before snail mail is ditched.

There should be some, but there is no need for daily delivery. They could cut out Saturday now and no one would notice. Two or three days a week is all they need for most places.

Yes they are but are they not delivered by someone other than your daily letter carrier. WE have e-mail for bills and direct deposit for many forms of income

i'm with you that we can cut down on snail mail - but we're suddenly going to be spending a whole lot more in shipping and handling if we did anything remotely close to the cutbacks you guys are advocating
