The "LOLCANADA" thread...again
So what's new?
I've noticed the Liberals are now ahead in all major polls and Trudeau hasn't even started to campaign yet...i'd be shocked if they lost the election now.
Just shows just how incompetent Conservatives are.
Lol nice try. If Harris wins there is noway he releases that video. Maybe there was some hedging with news articles being released, but for Trudeau to sit in front of a camera and admit they made mistakes on immigration is something.
lol buddy they literally released every single number of the new immigration plan weeks ago (that are great). You obviously didn’t remember that. If you’re hopping mad that he made a promo video (that was great) about the previously announced plan well that’s on you.

I was watching CTV s Vassy on this and the panel thought they released the video because their internal polls said it just didn’t hit with the voters and they wanted credit for doing it . I will give Trudeau credit for admitting they didn’t act quick enough . I can’t remember him ever admitting he has made a mistake
That seems quite right - and the video clearly has accomplished a much higher reach. Trudeau's team is actually doing the right thing here where they respond differently to changing economic times (everyone clamouring for more workers in 2021, needing to turn down the taps in 2024) and that even if they overshot on those pressures the directionality of the policy is largely correct. But that is a nuanced message and this format does seem effective at conveying it.
Good Ole Justin cant even get rid of Randy Boissonault . Though Justin had no troubles calling for a conservative that spent $16 on a glass of orange juice or firing a minister that told the truth
Lol at the guy resigning like an hour after this post. As everyone predicted. Maybe you should use this as a sign that you just aren't that good at understanding politics?
Well let me remind you Justin at the press conference yesterday said he was going nowhere . Yes he is out of cabinet but should be told to resign or run as an independent.
lol goal post shift. I get it, it looks pretty bad that you came here acting like Trudeau can't get rid of him literally an hour before Trudeau got rid of him, but sometimes you can just take the L instead of trying to find new things to get mad about.

Got rid of him he is still a member of the liberal party . Take the L the only loss is to CDNs and another corrupt liberal politician

Jfc man.
The guy should lose everything because he lied on his heritage ?
Costing 0$ to the government and taxpayers.
Failing at nothing in his function.
Just a stupid thing about a personal thing.
Punishing him, fine, doesn’t mean you have to thrown him in the fire….
Ah yes all or nothing for you in justice I forgot.
And yet all the freakin coucou in the maga movement can do w.e they wants with no consequence….
Ps: yeah, a 16$ orange juice repeated probably many times on other stuff cost way more to tax payer then what that man said about his heritage…
Or didn’t falsified report either ….
Your double standard is ugly.
Lozen, read this. Warning, it’s long. But read the whole thing. To the end.
Does this trouble you?

Your forgetting the company he owned 1/2 of that claimed also to be indigenous to get government contracts and the company involved in multiple fraud accusations as well now being investigated by the Edmonton Police . You forget Trudeau fires folks for telling the truth
Please explain how this is a double standard ?

Sadly this is how politics works in many parties . Of course it’s the CBC going after the conservatives again which is their mandate like MSNBC attacks Trump
If you do not think this isn’t the case with the liberals and NDP as well than you have blinders on . Of course now you’re seeing liberals back in line after their coup failed on Justin . You think any of those 20 MPs are getting cabinet positions?

Lol. The endless excuses. Getting mad at the CBC when they reveal the disgusting truths about your party is always hilarious - just totally bought into the fake conservative conspiracy theory about some "mandate" that any cursory review of their content (which regularly critiques the liberals and focuses on having panelists from all sides of the spectrum in every single panel) disproves the theory. And then the "they all do it", which like sure that is true to a degree, but the point here is we are seeing a stunning level of silencing and insistence on endless repetition of the exact messaging lines from their Dear Leader.
Conservative MPs can't even celebrates wins in their own ridings that they help secure with the housing accelerator fund!

See the difference here is you asked me to read the column and even though its from a source that I do not consider honest news I read it. I gave you an honest answer it doesn't concern me in the least bit as all I care about is Justin Trudeau being gone . Pierre is 20 points up in the polls as he runs a tight party and that success is them all delivering the same message Axe The Tax ..........
Now if I asked you to read an article chances are you would not . Hey if we have to choose which leader has more morals Id put Pierre ahead of Justin and Jagmitt any day
You were “honest” about your feelings that you didn’t care at all of your leader suppresses free speech of his party members and insists on ironclad deference to him at all times. But you were not “honest” about facts when you spouted conspiratorial nonsense that the CBC has some mandate to promote liberals when by law it is non-partisan and this born out in practice. Name the last time they had a panel that didn’t have one person who leaned towards each party, for instance.
Well your fearless leader Justin always says he did not believe in Harper’s ways of just handing out cash to everyone yet here he goes with a $250 check at a cost of 6 billion $$$ . I think voters are smart enough to know he is trying to buy votes
Well Ontario voters were not smart enough to realize Doug ford - who did the exact same thing - was just buying votes. BC voters were not smart enough to realize David Eby - who did the exact same thing - was just buying votes. Difference here is this was buying NDP support not buying voter support, a point you seem to have missed.
While I appreciate that payments are progressive (help poorest people most, sounds like a bunch of us ITT don’t qualify) I’m generally opposed, particularly as they are inflationary.

Nice Whataboutism and actually I think 4 provinces did it doesnt make it right . Yes I am Glad Justin is helping all those poor people making $150,000 or less
If he wants to make life affordable scrap the carbon tax
Notice how when I do a “whataboutism” it is comparing the situation to actually relevant comparisons done in provinces by parties across the spectrum? The “whataboutism” demonstrates how standard this policy is.
When you do a “whataboutism”, it is just distracting from the present topic with anything no matter how unrelated it is that you think Trudeau is bad for.
There’s an important difference.
Cancelling the carbon rebate that puts money in peoples pockets is obviously far far far less efffective from a pocketbook perspective than something like gst cuts.

Yeah lets cut the GST from necessities and not provide the $250 to seniors and folks on disability
-Prepared foods, including vegetable trays, pre-made meals and salads, and sandwiches.
-Restaurant meals, whether dine-in, takeout or delivery.
Snacks, including chips, candy and granola bars.
Beer, wine, cider and pre-mixed alcoholic beverages below 7 per cent alcohol by volume (ABV).
Children's clothing and footwear, car seats and diapers.
Children's toys, such as board games, dolls and video game consoles.
Books, print newspapers and puzzles for all ages.
Christmas trees.
You seem confused. If your point is that this list doesn't sound like "necessities", do you not realize that the GST is already exempt on "necessities" like regular groceries? Things like children's clothes etc on this list is over and above that.
You realize that the liberals dramatically increased the GIS for low-income seniors (and lowered eligibility age) [and boosted OAS on over 75s], right? Concern-trolling isn't a good look on you.

It was sarcasm ok on kids clothings but the rest
I don’t know about you but I consider heating my home a necessity and I pay both a carbon tax and GST tax

What’s the difference between reducing tax or giving money away (or in other words , redistributing money) ?
In both cases it cost money to the government shrug

Lol. But notice how 90% of the cost of the carbon tax you pay is debated back to the people? Like it isn’t close, cutting gst is WAAAAAAYYYYY more of an impact than carbon tax.
If conservatives were serious about lowering people’s tax burden they should choose just about any tax to cut but for the carbon tax.
Btw your friendly reminder that Poilievre has released almost no details about how he would actually govern but for axing the rebate. Would he cut any other taxes? Income? Gst? Corporate? We have no idea but guesses. Won’t say. Any interview asked about what HE would do he just tells us his twisted anti-Trudeau narrative. But like lozen that way.
