Well if you want to toss out a historical example you'll need to do a better job to match the crimes. From what I understand Trump hasn't detailed any plans to take over the world or exterminate a group of people.

Replacing the irs isn’t the worst idea. Just will be very expensive at first.
It would be very possible to get rid of personal tax returns, AFAIK most nations do not have anything like that. It has always been ridiculous to make individual taxpayers figure out how much they owe and then get in legal trouble if they did it wrong. If the government knows when you do it wrong, they also know how much you owe. The only reason that tax returns haven't been abolished is because of lobbying by tax accountants and makers of tax accounting software.
