In the current news climate we see that some figures and events tend to dominate the front-pages heavily. Still, there are important, interesting or just plain weird things happening out there and a group of people can find these better than one.
I thought I would test with a thread for linking general news articles about "other news" and discussion. Perhaps it goes into the abyss that is page 2 and beyond, but it is worth a try.
Some guidelines:
- Try to find the "clean link", so that links to the news site directly and not a social media site. Avoid "amp-links" (google).
- Write some cliff notes on what it is about, especially if it is a video.
- It's not an excuse to make outlandish claims via proxy or link extremist content.
- If it's an editorial or opinion piece, it is polite to mark it as such.
- Note the language if it is not in English.
- There is no demand that such things be posted here, if you think a piece merits its own thread, then make one.
If I were to start shoehorning every single thing I think wrong is politics and the world today into "this is core MAGA", "MAGA did this", "this is MAGA's fault", "some conservative 100 years ago said this so it's MAGA", would you even bother reading my posts?

I know it’s a rhetorical question, but what links any of this conduct to a deep state?

But you really think the deep state is composed of FEMA workers afraid of getting accosted by MAGA idiots while doing their jobs. And is the deep state so poor that they can’t put people on the payroll, they make them contractors to save money?

The deep state by their own admission is first and foremost civil servants. Ie employees of public agencies with a political agenda , that can have power to affect the lives of citizens even if unelected.
Then according the the conspiracy theorists like PB there are other "grey entities" somewhere and so on that make up the deepstate.
But that civil servants can have a political agenda and act upon it regardless of what elected politicians want isn't a conspiracy theory.

Elon has really messed up twitter by things like making all the blue check replies to a tweet appear first, so the replies are usually dreck. A lot of the best stuff was in the replies.
You can debate how to handle stuff like Holocaust denial. Seems many advertisers don't like it being allowed.
However, one thing I like about the platform is seeing people of all types express all types of views.
There is an audience echo chambers, but I think it's limited.

Simply put, all people with any kind of actual power should go under the spoil system.
No one should stay as a permanent unelected power holder of any kind excehpt for judges (and judges only because the constitution says so, it isn't necessarily the best option).

I definitely agree 100% my brother, thanks for helping these ppl out, they shouldn't be reading things I post about it's way too far out there for them but it's not their fault they were just a lot easier for the DS to program (such as hating the most liberating president in world history and calling him "orange man"... u can't make this **** up).
