In the current news climate we see that some figures and events tend to dominate the front-pages heavily. Still, there are important, interesting or just plain weird things happening out there and a group of people can find these better than one.
I thought I would test with a thread for linking general news articles about "other news" and discussion. Perhaps it goes into the abyss that is page 2 and beyond, but it is worth a try.
Some guidelines:
- Try to find the "clean link", so that links to the news site directly and not a social media site. Avoid "amp-links" (google).
- Write some cliff notes on what it is about, especially if it is a video.
- It's not an excuse to make outlandish claims via proxy or link extremist content.
- If it's an editorial or opinion piece, it is polite to mark it as such.
- Note the language if it is not in English.
- There is no demand that such things be posted here, if you think a piece merits its own thread, then make one.
The investigation is ongoing so they could be simply keeping the public abreast of things. That said they should wait until they get more definitive answers before making public statements, imo.
They face an impossible conundrum because if they wait, conspirators run amok for longer and their thesis can get a foothold in public opinion, if they rush to conclusions before being 100% sure they face the risk of having to pivot later.
There is no good solution
It's actually a very good way usually to determine who is trying to push which narrative and how, which happens very frequently.
A lot of media acts in inherently malicious ways when covering these events for very specific agenda, but usually reverts to be "forced" to admit the truth when that's provable in a sustained way (and usually that is followed by sandbagging the event, if it can't be spinned in favor of the media ideological tribe)
As if regulated media’s getting paid to report news would be more malicious then a total unknown unregulated (maybe crazy) foreigner bot/person in the world couldn’t be more malicious ?

Funny you trust so much the markets to tell or know the truth for example in real este near the ocean about climate changes but don’t trust multi billions media corporations because they would magically being shielded from the markets « truth » tellers…..
Or, I reported what was reported at the time and I also corrected it later on when information changed.

I can't even imagine Luciom coming to the aid of another person or neighbor based on his posts. I do little **** like go into neighbors houses to check on things when out of town, help jump cars, etc. my guess is that anybody even stepping into Luciom's PRIVATE PROPERTY sees a gun barrel.

After people are already commiting a crime it's already a "last resort", in a decent society no one would even think of committing a crime in public because they would know they would be absolutely destroyed with no recourse if they ever tried.
Which is why being transparently willing to use incredible violence when necessary does vastly REDUCE the actual amount of violence.but Yoh need to be credible (ie not a leftist) when you claim you will do whatever it takes with the law on your side against criminals.
What you see in rioting and street violence and shoplifting and all the rest is what happens when people think they can get away with it.
If anyone nearby armed could legally shoot to kill you while you commit a crime, crime, and people were known to conceal carry regularly in your area, crime would go down 90-95% in public.
Because ALL people respond to real incentives.
So your lack of attitude to use extreme violence against criminals in public (and your willingness to make vigilante violence illegal) is what *causes* the crime to happen in the first place.
