"I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard."
-Donald J Trump

It's really hard to justify what Trump did after the election. From lying that he won on election night, when even the winner correctly pointed out that it wasn't appropriate to declare the winner yet, to asking GA to find more votes to rig it for him and finally holding a rally that ended in a riot where he told people to go. Unsurprising that the defenses for the indefensible ring so hollow. His behavior after the election really justifies his ranking in the bottom three of all time with Buchanan and Johnson. I'd argue far worse. Buchanan was bitter and didn't do anything when the south voted in an election, didn't like the results and tried to effectively undo it. Trump actively tried to do this by himself when simply being bitter and slunking away Buchanan style would have left the country in such a better position.
Everything Trump did post losing the election was pathetic: the litigation, trying to get votes from the sos of Georgia, the false electors, pressuring Pence and even the Scheduling of the Jan 6 rally were just pathetic, narcissistic attempts to cheat so he didn’t have to admit he lost. Only people that still refer to him as President Trump, think he has been running a shadow government And fighting the deep state for the American people believe that he bears no responsibility for Jan 6th.
we know u dont get it , its ok.
yes im a bit surprise those people didn link trump rhetoric to gandhi.
it was so obviously evident.
that is why he never added the word peacefully with it.
But its great now, today as long u can say the word peacefully, u cannot be condemned of anything.
if i have the need to kill someone i will just have to say :
"just kill the guy peacefully for me would you"
and i will be free of murder charges !
brilliant.
President Trump vowed to free these political prisoners once he's officially reinstated.
And you actually believe that?
Instead of pardoning rappers and his criminal buddies, why didn't he issue a blanket pardon for all the deplorables that did his bidding for him on J6? You know, like Carter did for all draft dodgers between x and y dates, charged or not currently charged with evading the draft.
Trump could have issued a blanket pardon that no one at the Capitol Building on J6 could be charged with a crime and those currently charged would be released and charges dropped, but... he didn't - instead he pardoned Bannon after stealing millions in wall donations from his own supporters and let your J6 buddies get cooked.
But he'll pardon them this time. For sure...

bc he wasn't president when they got sent to prison.
They don't have to be in prison or even charged - he just has to issue a preemptive pardon while president. This would pardon anyone on J6 at any time.
Like I explained, Carter issued a full and unconditional pardon for all draft dodgers:
I, Jimmy Carter, President of the United States, do hereby grant a full, complete and unconditional pardon to: (1) all persons who may have committed any offense between August 4, 1964 and March 28, 1973 in violation of the Military Selective Service Act or any rule or regulation promulgated thereunder; and (2) all persons heretofore convicted, irrespective of the date of conviction, of any offense committed between August 4, 1964 and March 28, 1973 in violation of the Military Selective Service Act, or any rule or regulation promulgated thereunder, restoring to them full political, civil and other rights.
As you can see, these were persons who "may have committed any offense" and not just people that were charged and/or convicted of dodging the draft.
Sorry, but your boy let his deplorables to take their chances because he thought it would ruin his chances at re-election.

I don't think he knew they would get such harsh sentences, and if he did pardon them that wouldn't of gone over too well when the country was close to a civil war.

1 - Trump didn't think a crowd chanting to hang the vice president and attempting to get at Congress to the point where one person had to be waxed by a 9mm would result in harsh sentences?
2 - So you're saying if he had issued a blanket pardon for the J6 clowns, a civil war would have been started (where, at a Walmart in Wyoming?) by people opposed to the pardon instead of those people just never voting for Trump again?
Oh, how selfless of Trump to think of the country after his posse attacked the Capitol Building and tore down the American flag and hoisted up a Trump flag in its place.
a rioter who was convicted of multiple charges, including assaulting police officers,
the defendant began shouting at the judge right before the sentence
was handed down when the judge was explaining the convictions.
The judge was not happy about this, and ultimately sentenced the man to 5 years
He'll be pardoned, just like grocery prices will go down.
I don’t know what the five tears really amounts to. If he gets credit for the time he has been held pretrial, with any incremental benefit for good behavior, he probably gets out before Christmas.
I had the 'pleasure' of listening to Glenn Beck and his take on January 6 2021 and he had two convicted protestors on. It's pretty easy to see how Playbig thinks the cause of the rioting was everyones fault except for the riotors and the guy who wanted them in DC to riot. The extent these idiots go to sanitize the facts and paint a picture that they are blameless is hysterical. All the while, the host and his guests are all selling crap to their audience based on patriotism, religion and right wing "values."
The idiots who think 2020 was rigged but 2024 wasn’t are now in charge. What could possibly go wrong?
The idiot's are gonna be the ones who think a stooge nothing who hid in his basement actually won a legitimate election when he couldn't even fill 5 circles at his rallies when it's proven in Trump's administration that they did cheat using paper ballots by the tens of thousands which took weeks to count. I feel sorry for these types of people (just kidding, no I don't).
While Congress meets Monday to count the Electoral College votes and affirm President-elect Donald Trump's victory in the 2024 election, the roughly 1,500 people accused of storming the Capitol four years ago will be focused on what happens next.
Charged as part of the largest Justice Department's investigation in history, they have been waiting to see if Trump fulfills his promise to pardon them or commute their sentences.
Prosecutors have charged more than 1,580 defendants with crimes tied to the Jan. 6, 2021, riot, including more than 170 who are accused of using deadly or dangerous weapons like fire extinguishers and bear spray against officers. While a majority were charged with nonviolent misdemeanor crimes, some were accused of conspiring to use force to resist the peaceful transfer of power. Others admitted to fighting officers and attacking members of the media.
More than 1,000 defendants have since pleaded guilty, and about 220 more were convicted at trial. Federal investigations said they are also seeking the public's assistance in locating at least five known fugitives.
According to the Justice Department, 1,100 defendants have already had their cases fully adjudicated, and hundreds have already completed prison terms.

OK.
These people are now the majority of the voting public in the US.
America is ****ed.

He did. Trump was so atrocious that he motivated people to come out in droves against him. Literally not even once did Trump ever express any condolence for thousands of people dying every day.
4000 Americans die the day before, and the next morning he's telling the country how great he is because people are tuning in to his covid press briefings more than Monday Night Football and The Bachelor. He blew one of the easiest re-elections in history by removing compassion from his heart several decades ago.
Every election it always takes the same length of time to count ballots, but it never mattered until your boy was getting his ass handed to him by a dementia patient 😃
Enjoy your higher priced steaks coming to you shortly. Be sure to blame Biden for it in two years.
