2024 ELECTION THREAD
The next presidential race will be here soon! Please see current Bovada odds. Thoughts?
There are no photos. It wasn't listed on her resume at that time. It's not in her memoirs. There are no corporate records indicating such.
There are multiple pieces of evidence that she didn't work there.
The only evidence that she did work there is a statement she made 36 years later. No prior statements about having worked there. Only one made in 2019.
Bro, who the **** puts working at McDonald's on their resume?
At various times in this forum's history, people have wondered why so few intelligent conservatives post in the forum. Some people have pointed to posters like Trolly. Others have pointed to what they perceive as biased moderation.
But the idiocy of people like BJ is probably just as big a factor. If I were a smart conservative who wanted to go play partisan politics on a politics forum, I would look for a place where I had better teammates than him.
If there is an intelligent person who genuinely thinks Trump has a shot to be a top 1/3 POTUS or that Trump and Harris are pretty much the same I have not met them.
The epistemology discussion was a lot more interesting than this McDonalds debate.

Nobody accused her of lying, until she ran for president. Uncoincidentally the same time people started accusing Obama of lying about being born in Hawaii.
Morons trying to claim a failure to immediately produce 40 year old employment records is evidence of a lie because orange daddy plants the seed riffing at a rally.
I used to work at a franchise Burger King that no longer exists. And I never took any damn picture of me in my uniform because who would do that? I’d be more surprised if there was record of me working there than if there wasn’t.
If she wasn't lying and had worked there, she could at least produce a coworker or manager who knew her. Plus wouldn't she have had it on her tax return?

? I worked for Taco Bell for years. It's not on my most recent resume, and my most recent employment was through a franchise owner. This is not a compelling argument in the least.
Liiiiiiiar. This is why you never trust what a right-winger says. They lie about looking stuff up and say it so confidently. You liar.
Can’t wait for the goalposts to shift to “well isn’t it odd about all the other stuff?!?”
Just remember scumbag liars like this guy are lying so that they can feel better about voting for a traitor who hates everything America stands for.
yes that person is funny. she is a friend of Harris', yet she didn't know her friend worked there because she was her friend. Her recollection was based on what Harris' mother told her.
too weird to make up, so guess we'll believe her. i mean if she was going to make it up, she'd just say ya I remember Kamala used to work there...no need to bring in the added element of it being a recollection from Harris' mother telling her that.
chalk one up for Team KaMcDonald's
MSM is pulling a Clinton 2016. Ignoring all of Trump’s disgusting stories and instead doing everything in their power to amplify all of his lies. It’s amazing anyone considers them to be biased towards Kamala. It’s only the most superficial type of bias. What they care about is getting eyeballs on their platform, which they calculate Trump does better than Biden.

of course it's not on your most recent resume. was it on your resume directly after working there?
most employers don't like seeing holes in resumes. and if there's a hole, they'll ask you about it.

I know this is a crazy notion, but is it possible that Kamala made new friends between 1984 and 2009, who did not know her in 1983?
I can pretty much guarantee none of the friends I've made since 1999 know that I worked at McDonalds when I was 16 years old, unless it came up in some odd conversation that I don't recall. Neither could I tell you where they worked when they were 16 years old.

Easy explanation: she worked an internship or ran a student group or had other more relevant experience that she put in there than “I flipped burgers at McD’s”. Have you ever written a resume bro?

what about all your friends from 1999? we're probably about the same age and i could tell you a handful of my friends that worked at various fast food restaurants late 90s - early 00s.

I'm sure if you tracked one down and asked them, they could tell you. If I just mentioned that I worked at McDonalds and you said "I don't believe you, produce a friend to prove it", I'd tell you to **** off.

sure but you're just an internet poster. if you were running for President, and it was a contentious point, you'd probably be able to produce many friends that could support it.
It's not a lie to choose the most impressive employment to put on your resume. There was a summer that I both managed a Taco Bell AND worked part time as a telemarketer peddling Sports Illustrated and credit card protection.
Hot tip: Sports Illustrated subscribers will almost universally renew if a woman asks them to in a breathy, sexy voice.
I have never once listed that job on a resume. You seem to have this idea that a resume is supposed to be an exhaustive list of everything you've ever done. No. A resume is a sales document.
Trump has done a lot of terrible stuff in office, but I think undoing the Iran deal and pushing for a ludicrous Israel Arab nation business deal while completely ignoring Palestine is probably the dumbest/most destructive. Was handed a really good chance to normalize relations with Iran and ended up killing top Iranian officials. Choosing a war for really no reason.

Why? Trump accuses everyone else of lying about everything when that's literally all he ever does himself. Why the **** should everyone else have to dance to his tune? It takes orders of magnitude more effort to prove something than to simply accuse someone of lying, so easy game for him I guess?
lol, as predicted...one stupid crazy story after another. i love this episode.
fwiw, i'm 56 (she is 60) and I have absolutely zero proof that i worked at a pizza parlor in 1986.
such stupid people republicans rely on....

22 year olds, who have likely had few jobs/experiences, more often than not will list everything on their resume. they gotta fill out the page somehow. and yes, obviously the lack of it being there is not definitive of not having worked there, it's just another factor pointing in that direction.
