Having one (or very few) politicians from one party say this kind of stuff is bad, but when a huge % of the politician and voters are saying it it is a totally different level of problem. It is the same, I think we can agree, when one politician (trump) possibly inciting political violence is nowhere near as bad as a huge % of dem politician and voters supporting political violence like we saw during the BLM riots and the supreme court intimidation.

The garbage can comment trump made was in reference to an increase in violence and how much he hated that the violence was being supported by Dems who were trying to reduce police budgets and how he wanted to fix it. Wanting to fix a problem the country faces is far different that vilifying half the country.

Name a single Democratic politician that told people to riot. You are functionally braindead if you think supporting BLM = supporting BLM riots. People made it clear you should be peacefully protesting.

We are just going to have to agree to disagree on the BLM riots. Mass majority of the protests were peaceful, and there is significant evidence that many/most of the riots involved outside groups deliberately being violent and aggressive.

One of my daughters was there in the yellow vest protests and interviewed people there and wrote some stuff that got published somewhere. She's not here now though or I'd ask her to comment. (she's 24yo and works and lives in another part of the state)

I wasn't there and don't know how that started. I have been at multiple protests that turned into riots and saw what was happening before a film crew would have bothered showing up though. Usually you can't see what actually kicked things off on TV.
