I dont think the Dems will do enough to protect abortion or anything else really.

again, its not just Gaza. Dems have moved far right on almost everything else including immigration and law enforcement and are openly courting neocon warmongers like the Cheneys.

probably given the Dems stance on well everything.

I agree that they’ve moved right on some things and won’t do enough on many issues but they’re still less damaging than a Trump GOP in aggregate. I’m still curious though about my hypothetical. If you knew for certain that your vote would have decided Clinton vs Trump and stopped the rollback of Roe, would you still not have voted Clinton?

apparantly the votes that may be decided over Gaza/etc matter to some key parts of the election.

Is that not the case?

It's plausible to think Harris didn't pick Shapiro (a much better VP candidate otherwise, from a more relevant swing state) because he is a Jew for example.

As with 2016 the likely result will be close enough that any one of 20 different topics can be used to explain why it went one way or the other

I mean….wat

Also the reports of this dude building a compound for his 11 kids and 4 baby mamas is…..some profoundly insane ****

edit: Does anyone know why youtube embed does not let you link to a time here? At least if I try to embed the link above it does not. I thought it used to work.

I would not vote to end Roe

Well that’s the intellectual pitfall of being a single issue voter now isn’t it?

I will happily take least bad on one issue to avoid massive catastrophe on many others

That's easy to say but I wonder if you would really feel anything like that if you had family/friends and their communities being destroyed.

This, but I also expect certain groups/issue voters to be blamed for a loss should the Dems lose, rather than blaming the party for not doing a better job of trying to reach people on those issues.

No doubt

I like how my entire post addressed exactly what you said but you redacted it to make this point

we're focusing on a loss but the best result for the pro-palestinan cause is probably the democrates narrowly winning without their support.

It's a ****ing awful position to be in.

You're saying nobody blamed the democratic party for losing in 2016?

I just quoted your post unedited. You added a bit afterwards

This is the bit you added

If Palestinian-Americans are sitting it out I can’t say I blame them cuz that single issue is a massive single issue

But if generic white bro is using that as a single issue, man **** you

I'm more sympathetic with that.

Well you’re a ****ing liar

If a mod can confirm I’d appreciate it

Edit: test

I think it's ok to discuss if "real left" people at the end are going to vote Harris or not, and / or to try to guesstimate how many will stay at home or vote Stein over Gaza or whatever else motivates the "real left", in a thread about elections in the USA.

They might not matter, but we'll only know after the fact. At some point in the last couple of months for example Michigan, which should be blue, was in play partly because if you think enough "real leftists" care aboit Gaza et al enough, Mic

bro I got baited into talking about Elon musk

You're mistaken.

Are you saying you didn't edit it?

Sure am

You on the other hand edited that post just now

Well that’s unfortunate, go to advanced doesn’t show an edit history

Yes I added your quote as there was an intervening post

I've also addessed the bit you added.

Cool. You’re a liar

God bless

I did get a chuckle that this was what I saw adding you ignore

It doesn't even make sense. I'm sympathetic with the bit you added and my response makes no sense if it was already there as it's basically repeating what you said.

I modify my posts very regularly. i dont pretend not to. it sometimes causes confusion - it's not the end of the world

It is very funny to me to watch the bernie shitbros who totally voted for biden but are totally down for burning it all down anyway cuz (insert one item that gives them plausible deniability to justify them being down for the cause)

Not a targeted indictment on any one person ITT, just a general observation on the bernie shitbros in general loudly announcing ‘I voted for biden but now I have no choice but to vote for trump because of (random single issue)’

**** off

No you

by microbet k

**** off

White shitbros deciding on my behalf how outraged I should be about my ancestral land is always super helpful. Why should I decide for myself the pros and cons when I have you heroes down to do it for me

God bless you

Sorry, Allah bless you
