I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at

I’m just quoting this because it seems oddly out of line with most of Luciom content.

My content is being precise, specific, honest and realistic everytime about everything factual.

Then I add my opinion which is subjective

Yes. And an exceptionally gullible one, at that.

This is the kind of LYING they are doing and you are falling for it instantly. Repeatedly. And never understanding what happened.

American billionaire Elon Musk, the owner of X platform and newly designated special government employee, shared a fake video claiming that the US Agency for International Development (USAID) fun

Lol wtf? Congress did. And it was 100% bipartisan. And Biden got into power a few months later so jfc any "oversight" was allowed ex post, it's Biden that should have done it.

How horribly in bad faith can you be every single time you talk about anything?

So you are saying Trump didn't just unilaterally fire a bunch of Inspector Generals? That takes bipartisan effort? IM in bad faith?

Am I still a "conspiracy theorist" for saying our fake msm is a controlled puppet for the DS?

Correct you are... this has already been thoroughly debunked. And it was exceptionally stupid from the start.

The birthright order is very probably unconstitutional. It's already stayed, no effects, and SCOTUS will confirm 99%.

Aside that what else do you think it's happening that goes against the constitution?

Yes, birthright likely will be upheld, but nothing is for certain.

Federal funding freeze, clearly unconstitutional. The travel ban, firing IG's, Offering incentives (that can't be upheld) to federal employees to quit, transgender ban in military, transgender prison move.

I'm probably missing some. There's also just unconstitutional actions like allowing Elon to have American's private financial records to the government.

Most of those have already been put on pause by federal judges.

transgender were banned in the military forever till 2021 , literally can't be unconstitutional to go back to what was the norm tell recently.

travel ban? what's that

trans in prison, again you went with your biological sex until very recently, so it's definitionally constitutional.

firing IGs we'll see what courts think

giving Elon access is at most inappropriate/irregular, certainly nothing to do with the constitution. what has access to what in the federal government is a plain legal issue not a constitutional one

You probably should have read the article, df.

Even the Russian Times said it wasn't true. YIKES

I truly don't understand how you guys aren't embarrassed.

the "incentives to move your ass away" program is on halt to discuss it's legality under labour agreements, it's not a constitutional issue, and it hasn't been decided on merits yet

None of that is true. It was don't ask don't tell, but the reason it was allowed to begin with was because it violated the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment and the rights of transgender service members.

Elon's role is unconstitutional... blatantly so. They are now trying to say he's a special government employee, but those parameters are defined to just advice, not action.

I'm not really interested in this argument honestly. You asked what else... I gave you my answer.

We know what the goal is... they are grooming conservatives to think the government is liberally bias and funding left wing propaganda, so they can seize or shut down as much of the media as they can.

It's literally #2 on the authoritarian take over playbook.

by Luciom k

yes, or at the very least allow any citizen (or legal resident) to have standing as virtue of being citizen for constitutional matters under the lens of "the existence of an unconstitutional provision in the country is BY ITSELF a cause of irreparable harm for every citizen if not addressed promptly".

Btw my previous attempt to punish passing unconstitutional provisions was not just to "allow", but basically to make it a routine requirement, to get advisory opinion on the constitutionality of any

Who "thoroughly debunked" it? A far left news agency? So Elon's making everything up? Thats just as uncredible as the online fact checkers.

Watching you desperately cling to the lie as it crumbles in front of your eyes is actually pretty entertaining.

That's entirely because of both how unlikable you are as a person and how people like you are responsible for the downfall of this country.

The political reality of the MAGA movement is a product of influencers and social media, reality is not really relevant.

Thus there isn't much to be ashamed about.

They'll support criminals while being strong on crime. They'll support adulterers while decrying the loss of traditional morals. They'll ignore corruption while decrying corrupt politicians. They'll support the rejection of democracy while demanding more freedom.

The best responses you can hope for in in argument are quips, oneliners and jokes at your expense, pretty much all it copied from memes or tweets.

So Elon's spreading false claims and conspiracy theories? Why isn't everyone talking about this?

The reality isn’t so scandalous. Politico is by no means a left-wing outlet, and it has often been criticized for being too deferential to conservative and corporate interests. It covers the machinations of Congress, more than anything, and it offers an extremely expensive “Politico Pro” service that many government offices use to track these machinations.

The $8.2 million figure represents the total spent by the entire federal government; USAID paid Politico only $44,000 from 2023-24. The Washington Post points out that earlier this week the Trump White House’s Office of the National Cyber Director signed a $35,000 contract for a Politico Pro. Plenty of congressional offices pay for the subscription, too, including the office of Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), who posted Wednesday that Musk was “exposing” Politico’s “grift.”

”Politico has never been a beneficiary of government programs or subsidies — not one cent, ever, in 18 years,” Politico CEO Goli Sheikholeslami and co-founder John Harris wrote in a memo on Wednesday.

If you hold the truth, you don't need to distort facts to make your point. It's an essential part of good reasoning to be able to spot distortions, because distortions hide ulterior motives.

No wonder Dems are going mental over DOGE.

I think most reasonable people would be on board with what you're saying... IF that was what was actually going on.

1) All of these agencies have waste oversight already. Medicaid and Medicare have extreme waste oversight, while the Pentagon has pretty lax oversight. The Pentagon fails its audits every year.

2) What's actually going on is Musk is line auditing all agencies to locate $4.5 trillion to offset the tax cuts they want for the billionaire class.

3) Trump Tax cuts expire this year, and par

this is absurd, we are easily the most wasteful country on the planet

when we build a road it costs us 5-10 million per mile
when that same road is built in europe it costs 2-5 million per mile

nevermind how much cheaper china can build it

a mile of subway in nyc costs 5x more to build than a mile of subway in paris

literally everything we do has at least a 2x multiple in cost than anywhere else on the planet

we spend over 15k per student in public schools - europe spends around 11k

european education is better as well

we are extremely wasteful to simply dismiss that out of hand and as something that we don't need to fix is just insanity

same with healthcare - not even accounting for the cost of procedures (which is more so due to the privatization than corruption) but we literally spend 1k per american on medicaid just for administrative costs - 5x more than european equivalents

it's either corruption and people grabbing from the till or gross incompetence, probably a mix of the two

when i worked as a contractor for the us gov i was routinely astounded by the waste they engaged in - everyone they flew to china - even midlevel people of no importance nor necessity to be there in person at all were all flown business class and put up in the st regis hotel which was the most expensive hotel in beijing (it's actually much cheaper to stay there now with far fewer foreigners there post covid - at that time around 2009 it was about 400 a night, now about 250)

so i'd just be sitting in a meeting with someone who contributed nothing, knew nothing of china, and had no domain expertise and wanted nothing more than to see the great wall and bang asian hookers so that's why he asked to come to beijing in person and that's why here's there

the most famous hooker bar in beijing is called maggies, it's right in the embassy district and whenever my buddy in the agricultural department came to china and i'd go out drinking with them, all his colleagues would finish the night there

And here we are... they could literally claim anything (which they will), and you guys will eat it up. Facts really don't matter anymore.

Did you know DOGE found $190 million that was used by USAID to prosecute Christians in foreign countries?

I'd bet a nickle I could post a meme like this or similar on right wing social media and it would go viral.
