In the current news climate we see that some figures and events tend to dominate the front-pages heavily. Still, there are important, interesting or just plain weird things happening out there and a group of people can find these better than one.
I thought I would test with a thread for linking general news articles about "other news" and discussion. Perhaps it goes into the abyss that is page 2 and beyond, but it is worth a try.
Some guidelines:
- Try to find the "clean link", so that links to the news site directly and not a social media site. Avoid "amp-links" (google).
- Write some cliff notes on what it is about, especially if it is a video.
- It's not an excuse to make outlandish claims via proxy or link extremist content.
- If it's an editorial or opinion piece, it is polite to mark it as such.
- Note the language if it is not in English.
- There is no demand that such things be posted here, if you think a piece merits its own thread, then make one.

Agreed. Hopefully after what Biden has done and what Trump is doing/will do (in terms of pardons), there will be enough interest in conquering the mountain that is constitutional reform to bring this pardon silliness under control.
Not a chance. Trump (and Giuiliani) were reportedly selling pardons for $1 million per at the end of his first term. Not a whimper about reform.

Dont worry. Just give it either 4, 8 or 12 years and a Democrat will be back in office and suddenly you will decide amending the pardon process isn't that important after all.

sentencing should be financially very heavy for everyone who does that for profit, which I think is the vast majority.
people who rent to illegals should lose their property. people who hire illegals should lose their companies. public officers who help illegals should lose their job, be barred for life to ever work again for the public, and lose their pensions.
first time offenders helping illegals for free should get a slap wrist, but at second offence extreme penalties.
elected officials violating their oath to the constitution is a different matter. laws should prescribe the death penalty for them if they conspire structurally to undermine the rule of law.

equity goes in conservatorship, like chapter 11, then it's sold to private equity and the like; or depending ok size can be sold sooner on the market, we have procedures to deal with this, well oiled ones, with bankruptcy laws.
ofc if the owners can defend themselves in court and prove they didn't know of the horrific crimes being committed by management, you can push the specific people who did the crimes of abetting illegals within the company.

Agreed... it should have been easy to see those landing lights.
What's weird is that the helicopter is clearly flying lower and lower, then suddenly it begins to rise and then levels off right before th3 explosion. To me, it looks like the helicopter is tracking the plane until contact... no conspiracy implied
