Jokes aside, Orban's method to staying in power and dismantling institutions to ensure that, has been eagerly studied by American conservatives. This to the point where it was pretty much put into a project plan, complete with training manuals and integrating itself with the Trump campaign. One mistake they did was give it a bad name, "Project 2025", which simply sounds to ominous. I'm sure the next one will have a more benign name.

Some commentators think a return to power for Orban at the next election isn’t out of the question if the economy doesn’t pick up.
It will be interesting to see what the outcome is. Péter Magyar is also pretty much a nationalist-adjacent conservative like Orban, the main difference being that he is not aligning himself with Russia. With a super-majority it is possible to repair the institutions Orban corrupted and put Hungary back towards democracy. Hopefully he is less corrupt.
Which was the main reason why it made so little sense for Trump and Vance to get so involved to begin with.
