A better start would have been to hold a primary.

Yes.

She sells seashells......

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/justice...

A federal grand jury has returned an indictment charging former FBI Director James Comey over an Instagram photo he posted of seashells, which allies of President Donald Trump portrayed as a threat, two sources familiar with the matter tell NBC News.

So, does that mean that everyone that posted that picture is getting indicted? Seems like a lot.

And where in the hell are they finding grand juries that would even make that decision? Is it from a pool of maga chuds?

In before baba posts "he shouldn't be threatening the president."

bb, i agree it's absurd to charge him over that

however, to portray it as "a photo of seashells" is guilty of the same offense you are complaining about

be the guiding light not the lowest common denominator

it was already absurd to charge for that to begin with, there was no reason to obscure the nature of the photo and describe as one of "seashells" - that's intentionally done rhetoric to try to make an already ridiculous thing appear even more insane

be better than that and you'll find a lot more people taking you seriously

Just lol, Miss Manners.

Right, if he had arranged the seashells in such a way to solicit a hitman to take someone out, certainly calling it a “pile of seashells” would be disingenuous.

Reminds me of the girl from Florida who got arrested supposedly for joking that Netanyahu should drop a bonbon on her school’s auditorium. People were like “zomg she was obviously joking!” But then you look it up and it turns out she said someone planted a bmb there too. Like obviously she didn’t get arrested for a joke, she got arrested for a bmb threat.

Comey should have arranged the seashells to say

25 47

instead of

86 47

We've never put up a good female candidate for president

It is no surprise I missed this dingleberry by a poster not worth reading.

by biggerboat

I'll take things a misogynist would say for $200, Alex.

Excellent response.

It will get even better in the next presidential when this expands to Rickie saying that Marco Rubio is a good candidate for president because he has a law degree, was a senator and a secretary of state, somehow forgetting that applies to Hildawg, as well as, her actually winning a primary and getting the most votes in a general election.

this is a cheap strawman, rubio is a horrendous candidate, i even gave a list of people who i thought were good candidates as well, so it's extra idiotic for you to try to create this kind of strawman

both hillary and kamala had horrendous national polling for president prior to their presidential run - it was idiotic to say otherwise - but maybe this is why i make a healthy living betting on election cycles because there's enough dumb money that can't separate emotion from objective data

if you actually wanted what you claim to support, you would get behind putting a good female candidate forward instead of claiming "oh those horrible misogynists are why it doesn't work" - because that doesn't fix it, that just tells you "go back to male candidates or lose" and then you never get it

If you are talking about metrics like favorability, I think it is almost self-evident that neither party has any hope of finding a candidate that would qualify as "good." In terms of how we receive information and form opinions, we are no longer in the era of Eisenhower. We aren't even in the era of Obama.

We did, you rejected her.

A win for the good guys

House Republican leaders are working to approve a bill Thursday that would fund all of the Department of Homeland Security except its immigration enforcement agencies — potentially ending the department’s 76-day shutdown — according to a half-dozen people granted anonymity to describe the behind-the-scenes talks.

Trump pulls his surgeon general pick and makes third nomination for the role

Anxiously awaiting what kind of horribleness she represents.

Did anyone doubt this is the way it would go?

Republicans proposed a bill that would provide $400 million in funding for the facility. It comes after Trump said in October that the ballroom would be "paid for 100% by me and some friends of mine," referencing donors.

I was actually surprised at this myself, re the jury indictment

Indictments are a million times easier to secure than convictions.

by Rococo

Yes

It was coming anyway. The rise in fuel prices just accelerated it.
