thats bc you dont understand how language evolves

I understand that language evolves. I don’t see how that is relevant to this situation.

There are colloquial definitions of Nazi that mean all types of things, all the way up to just being someone that somebody doesn’t like. I prefer to use the political definition of nazi in a discussion about politics.

you are trying to muddy the waters by pretending like theres a possibility he didnt know. using words like "dubious". its not dubious. its certain.

it does illustrate the rigor you use to label someone a Nazi, but your gullibility around their symbols.

It’s a pretty nitty point, but if I wanted to be just as nitty, I don’t think it qualifies for certainty because inferences about people’s motives rarely do.

Maybe you have more information than I do.

So Mitch McConnell is dead, right?

Medically or legally?

So Mitch McConnell is dead, right?

How could we even tell either way?

McConnell and Platner both still technically alive as of last report

by AquaSwing

Not until August 4th or whatever that date is!

What happens on August 4?

Platner drops out, still denies rape allegations.

Collins now a lock to win re-election.

Full disclosure: My predictions are almost invariably wrong.

It's the stone cold lock of the century, of the week.

I haven't figured out if Collins just acts dumb, or if she really is as stupid as she seems.

So Mitch McConnell is dead, right?

He better not be.

They need to keep him alive and coherent so he can witness the shitstorm he selfishly and foolishly enabled by refusing to convict a guilty-as-hell Trump.

He'll have all of eternity to rot in hell. Keep him alive for now.

It's left wing Twitter thing. If he's dead before the 3rd they can hold a special election and some think that Massie could run and be the temporary senator until January 2027 which in someone's fever dream could lead to something something bad for Trump.

It was more of a joke than anything else.

Massie can’t win a primary but he’s going to win a statewide election

Mitch doesn't even know what planet he's on right now. He's not witnessing or recognizing anything.

Biden doesn't even know what planet he's on right now. He's not witnessing or recognizing anything.

Fixed your post, you're welcome.

Lieberman did it in 2006. Lost his primary then won the general as a third-party candidate.

Republicans say,
“Voter fraud is a serious national problem.”

at which point Democrats respond,
“There is literally no evidence of that.”

Republicans then effectively conclude,
“We’re going to keep saying this anyway,
in the hopes of undermining public confidence in the nation’s electoral system,
which we’ll use to justify voting restrictions that will help GOP candidates win elections.”

How much does Rachel Maddow pay you to post her links here?

Fixed your post, you're welcome.

That might also be true, but the discussion was about Mitch, and Biden is no longer in office so WTF cares?

Rather than making decisions based on the existing peer-review system, where scientists shielded from politics evaluate the merit of projects according to empirical evidence, funding determinations will be made based on whether or not a recipient promotes “anti-American values,” or “damage[s] the reputation” of the federal government.

The White House on Friday confirmed the executive action against members of the Election Assistance Commission, which distributes federal grants to states, oversees the testing of voting systems and maintains the national voter registration form.
