What is there to say. consuming beyond out ability to safely produce is leading to disaster.

Now do you understand what happens as green technology moves ahead of dirty technology? and why it is so important to achieve as soon as possible?

Do you understand that dramatically reducing dirty technology is what is necessary, not merely reducing it to second place?

If dirty leads 100-50 and clean surpasses it and leads 1000-100 ..... that doesn't do the trick chezlaw.

And green tech isn't always green .... EV's don't grow on trees.

We need degrowth policy.

I'll defend chamberlain. He rearmed and installed the ground defenses etc that led directly to us winning the war. Your failure to understand the dynamics of the tipping point that occurs as green tech move ahead of dirty tech is bizarreDirty is only still advancing to the extent it is still ahead of green tech. The green tech is and will continue to overtake - we need to do th

That's a good description.

You forgot Lincoln.

He led the elimination of the liberty to own slaves. I want to eliminate the liberty to pollute.

Sorry, it was early and I was still sleepy.

You said climate change is caused by humans.

I gave an example of climate change NOT being caused by humans.

The current climate change could be a combination of the two in varying degrees.

Amazingly, the pun was not intentional .

I see you simply don't understand.

It wont be second place in any sense other than typewriters became 2nd place to wordprocessors.

Maybe you should listen to yourself when you said "If you are going through hell, keep going"

This is what is happening to fossil use as green energy becomes cheaper chezlaw.

Which one of us simply doesn't understand ?

I never said that .... but it's a pretty accurate description of your approach to solving climate change. Keep pretending that we can solve it without degrowth.

It's you. You don't understand what a tipping point is.

You're like someone from blockbusters pointing out that demand for VHS is growing.

Degrowth means 'billions must die', so it's a strange case where the suggested remedy is the same as the problem for which the remedy is proposed.

I just get a kick out of Dr Greta Thunberg predicting the world will end every 4 years. Oh wait her latest cause is Palestine.

Sorry to all my American friends. We will try harder!

Amazing how basic fallacies like correlation doesn’t equal causation escape you

Except the remedy only kills several billion people, while ignoring the problem presumably kills everybody.

I still haven't heard a good answer as to why perpetuating our species is even a laudable goal in the first place. Specie come and go, you know.

Is she actually a doctor now, or does she just play one on television?

At this point in the conversation, it's unclear to me why NutNut's failure to understand elementary fallacies should be a source of amazement for any of us.

I'm buying up every rake I can from the local hardware store, grabbing my grandkids and heading for the forests.... We'll take care of it...
