I'll make a suggestion for future similar incidents, that I've used before. Quote the post, but rather than responding here and hitting Reply, cut-and-paste it into the appropriate thread's reply box and then respond there. Come back here and let them know you responded in the correct thread. Conversation continues, no danger of deletion, and it helps the moderators.

I don't do that often because typically as long as all the off-topic posts go, I don't care because the post I didn't want to leave unanswered is gone as well. I try not to get too attached to posts. 😀

That whole power trip thing is just a joke. As I have explained over and over it takes a great deal more time to move posts than to delete them. In just the short time between my last warning and my deleting posts over 40 had accumulated. If I am out one day it's over a hundred.

We are all volunteers who give our time to mod. So I'm sorry if you feel it's the mods responsibility to do what the posters should do and put the posts in the right thread in the first place. Just bc you feel the need to respond to an off topic post itt doesn't mean we have to allow 50-100 posts derails.

I have asked and warned everyone multiple times that if offpost topics continue I will delete them. No one listened. So now I am just going to delete them for real this time.

OK. I'm going to try a different approach. I am closing the mod thread. Prob 90% of the posts itt have nothing to do with mod issues. And of that 10% prob only 10% requires forum poster input to handle.

So if you have an actual issue that requires mod attention, pm me or ganstaman (or preferably both) with your issue. If it is simply to call our attention to a questionable post hit post report. If we feel an issue needs group input we will open the thread and pose the question.
