To be fair, Crossnerd has also recently removed a lot of low quality posts from Hamas supporters. Not to say your posts were low quality, idk if I saw them.

You are just wasting your time even engaging in that thread. The powers that be have deemed it improper to post anything that can be interpreted as supporting Israel. That your post can be considered offensive by anyone, to the point that it needed to be deleted, is proof that this is no longer a place where people can have opposing viewpoints on even basic issues.
have you read the thread? well over 50% of the posts are explicitly supporting every action* by Israel.

I mean, my post was directly addressing ideas about moderation and had nothing to do with the details or ideas of the conflict.

(d) Extremist views well outside of the mainstream will not be allowed: offensive conspiracy theories, posts that glorify violence, call to arms etc. Do not post-election conspiracy theories without sources. Such posts go in the riggie containment thread. Due to the nature of the current health crisis, we will not allow conspiracy theories surrounding Covid-19 to be propagated, nor will we allow Covid-19 denial or posting that attempts to undermine the severity of the crisis.
While I understand that not everyone will like or agree with this, the pro-Palestine movement is a mainstream view, and is therefore acceptable to post so long as it does not glorify violence etc.
Specific posts that violate the rules of the I/P thread as are posted on that threads OP should be reported.

It seems that forum poster Luciom is getting really unhinged lately ( more than before, frequency increasing by the day) and he is consistantly calling for people to be shot at, executed for whatever reason he feels so.
I have never seen such poster here going on like this for so long, and this looks like a case of I told you so.
Fearing for his well beeing and I think he isn't fit mentally to stay around here.
His average post per day in this forum is insane, he's calling tons of people (especially anyone who disagree or does't correspond with his worldviews) to be shot at or executed.
Please review his case accordingly. (I'm not the first one who called him as a potential hazard for himself and others).
That has been his standard pace for the last few months.

In the interests of fairness, I have not seen him calling for anyone who disagrees with his views be shot or executed, but I might have missed it. He does talk about applying the death penalty a bunch, but usually falls short of saying people should be executed for their political views alone.
ETA: One of the threads in which he is currently active is literally about the death penalty, so hardly a surprise it would be discussed there.

At the societal level, I find people who call for censorship of those they disagree with, making spurious claims of "safety" for themselves and other, to be a much bigger potential hazard.

What's new? I had a to and fro with him many months ago about his calls for mass executions for law breakers and his latest outbursts are merely the mask slipping.
I don't want him banned but hope he's not unwell.

Permanent bans will not be decided by discussions in the mod thread or by popularity. Posts that violate the guidelines for this forum should be reported so the mods may have a record of a posters violations and make a decision based on cumulative positive history.
I will not allow discussions that target an individual for negativity that goes beyond constructive criticism in our community setting, so please keep that in mind if you comment on one another.
