If you assume that Africans, Indians, South Americans and Indonesians are stupid but not Europeans, Chinese and Americans I question your intelligence.
According to Google 70% of Americans believe in a personal god, so yeah, at least 70% of them are pretty dumb. Seems pretty legit. 50% for Europe, but we already knew that Americans were dumber than us, didn't we?
I'd be surprised if more than 70% of those other populations genuinely believed in a supernatural being with magical powers. Maybe they say they do in surveys due to the societal pressures discussed earlier. I mean, don't some of these places still stone people for blasphemy? There is no way to know the true number. But then there is also the point that a society which pressures its members to believe in such horseshit is probably pretty dumb overall, sure.
Also, arguably any disparity is mitigated by the fact that those people in the Western world who believe in dumb **** do so despite the benefit of having had at least a half decent education and access to books and other information about science and the scientific method, so they're even worse than those who believe in dumb **** because they didn't have such a benefit.
Wow. The headlines on that article says he recommended that kids have "Covid parties" to get immunity, and that there would not be a Covid vaccine, because herd immunity was already accomplished (by early 2021, when the article was published).
