Moderation Questions
The last iteration of the moderation discussion thread was a complete disaster. Numerous attempts to keep it on topic fa
Victor, be honest. Are we currently entering phase 2 of your scheme to get paid for taking a ban here like you did on UP?
Wait, so now granchildren are responsible for the crimes of their grandparents? Is this some leftist Twitter derposphere thing that only the cool kids know about? Or are you just on the jungle juice again tonight?
if the kid becomes the don of a mob family then hes responsible for a lot of bad things.
guys lets give MBS a chance. hes only dismembered a few journalists and imprisoned all his enemies. I hear hes actually reformist at heart. hes going to change soon.
ok John Gotti Sr was a tyrant but Ive heard the grandson is a liberal reformer that supports womens rights. we cant fix everything at once so lets support him for now.
The guy that argues for the relative morality of North Korea, Russia, Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah, Assad, and many of the most dementedly evil psychos on the planet thinks that itβs weird to say grandchildren of evil people are not themselves inherently evil.
Amazing.

In your worldview what exactly is wrong with letting MBS have a chance? You argue for critical support of insane psychopaths all the time.
deliberately misinterpreting words and ignoring reality is the specialty of liberals. Gottis grandson (one of them) is 38 ****ing years old and doing crimes
Youβre literally incapable of following the thread of a conversation. All you asked me was if it was possible, you didnβt ask me if it was happening. I would say youβre an evil piece of filth but youβre probably just a ****tard

Ok but you didn't bring that part up when you said we should condemn him, you said we should condemn some hypothetical grandson of Gotti's for his grandfather's crimes. What the **** are you even talking about you demented idiot?

give him a chance to rule the ruthless Saudi Monarchy? like thats my whole point. the people in charge of these murderous state or non-state (like the mafia) entities are not going to do good things bc the point of their fiefdoms is to enrich themselves and not to do anything good.

its incredible how much you need to deliberately misinterpret things to support your positions.
its also incredible the lengths you will go to to defend murderous regimes in the USA, Europe, West Asia, and even NYC.
this is the myth of liberalism. that somehow if we just get the right guy in charge that all the crimes and looting and deprivation will go be solved.
liberals itt

You're a ****ing moron. If you're saying that I should have known that Gotti's grandson had been charged with something, no, I didn't, and I actually watch a lot of mob stuff on youtube. Maybe it's not as big a story as you think it is. And if that's what you're implying, what the **** does Columbo's family have to do with that?
Seriously, are you smoking crack or off your meds or something? You're making even less sense than usual.
if it makes you feel better, change it to the protege of a mob boss and not his kin (even tho in this case it was both).
but again, this is typical of liberal dialogue. its pure deliberate misinterpretation based on selective semantics and insults.
the analogy is that the USA is akin to a mob family. they are built to do crime and murder and slavery for profit. thats their whole point.
I dont like it when Italians from Queens get accussed of being in the mob when clearly they are not in the mob but just fashionable social influencers. A wonderful family broken up because some guy tried to double the relief fund money by betting on crypto.
lol how on earth are their actions harming the country? a country built on a Native burial ground on the backs of African slaves that kills millions for profit every decade. oh ya, JD Vance is so bad for the brand.
This post barely warrants a response. Under this logic, no politician can be bad for a country because history occurred and the country is the country.
I saw this sentence while skimming through and thought, "Nice, D2 must be talking about why DEI and affirmative action are wrong!"
Not directly related to your statement per se, but if the granchildren in question are in possession of what can be definitively shown to be proceeeds of their grandparents' crimes, I have no problem with those assets being disgorged.
I keep wondering if conservatives even know what DEI is lol They make it sound like racial hiring quotas which every DEI training I have seen opposes that. Itβs literally just removing bias so the best candidate can be hired for the job. Thatβs it.

I'm sure DEI trainings do their best to mask their intentions.
A business doing whatever should always choose the best people to perform the tasks. Not doing that would be illogical and cause potential profit losses. So why would DEI be needed? What biases take place in the year 2025 when it comes to hiring?
The same biases that existed in 1960. Thank you for listening to my Ted talks
Humans are notoriously bad at identifying their biases let alone correcting them. You can see how many posters here lack self reflection and extrapolate broad assumptions about society

Businesses hire hiring managers. Hiring managers sometimes donβt know what being best suited for a task looks like so they select based on nebulous things like culture or they outright donβt hire people for illegal things like being too old or being pregnant.
Not sure if you have ever actually worked a day in a real workplace either because people have all types of biases.
And assuming that your people know what will make you the most money is a horrible mistake. Always be clear what the KPIs are and what the qualifications you are looking for are, as well as the criteria for what constitutes the best candidate.
You literally sound like someone with very minimal corporate or management experience. Maybe you are a good worker somewhere or own a small business but clearly wouldnβt be able to scale up your experience if this is what youβre bringing to the table.

I've worked in a couple real workplaces in my life. I think it's better to deal with unconscious bias than conscious bias.

Fair enough. That's worded better and makes more sense than what I said.
So if there was a hiring period and a workplace needed 10 people, and it just so happened that the 10 best candidates were all white males, how do you think that would go over?

That's fair. Maybe this was meant to be cutting but whatever. I did work for a large corporation, and found a smaller business was more my style. And the first person that makes a McDonald's joke is off my Xmas card list.
