I don't think any admins or mods should be banning anyone because we are all adults and are able to scroll or ignore.

But without the need to search threads looking for offensive posts that comes directly from the power to ban, what would they do with their time?

well if it was a very clear offence against the rules i could see that (given we don't have assigned mods to this forum afaik), but for OT? when talking with another mod???

I'm surprised the hate spammer is allowed to post. They insist anyone they don't like is a commie and all commies must be murdered. That's the thesis, and it posts every 3 minutes.

Berlusconi was a very center left person, but anticommunist.

His political sponsor for more than 10 years, before he entered politics, was Craxi, the socialist leader (first socialist to become italian prime minister, in 1983).

Many of the people who joined his party in 1994 when he created it were ex-socialists (after Craxi escaped to Tunisia and the party imploded).

He even took in some actual communists, like Sandro Bondi who for years was Berlusconi party actual spokesman

All in all certainly not a person who came from a rightwing history, with a rightwing entourage (unlike Meloni for ex).

I dont know if they were drunk, but I would definitely be interested in the chain of events that led to them deciding to peruse the Trump thread and decide Lucium needed a ban from his posting there.

I suppose it's quite normal for people to check even if they aren't regular of a forum.

Maybe he was looking for the latest polls or updates on the trials or whatever.

And he saw a quite long derail.

Problem here is that he might have no idea that's fairly normal in this forum and explicitly allowed (iirc? i read repeatedly that being OT wasn't punishable, and everyone including mods does it), and the "not so funny" part was that i was answering questions and provokations (not in the negative sense, in the technical sense, he kept interacting with me) by a green name!!

they weren't deleted, it was a series of exchanges with rococo about my idea of a constitutional principle that would be very nice to have (but doesn't exist in the USA and afaik in the strong form nowhere, but in weaker forms it is in several EU constitutions) about a complete ban of sacrifice of individual quality of life in order to achieve third party statistical benefit.

So a complete ban of vaccine mandates being legal (unless the disease is very dangerous for the individual being mandated, in which case it's paternalism which is another topic), complete ban of the draft no exception in war of offense , ban of the concept of DUI and so on

He saw that we needed some drama in this forum and thought that he would be the one to provide it. He's done a pretty good job so far!

videopro is a solid poster in general but he does tend to randomly step in at times when he feels his work is needed and it nearly always is not

I just informed Bobo and KS that I no longer want to moderate this forum. I told them that I will continue until a replacement is found or until they conclude that no replacement can be found. I don't know exactly what would happen in the latter scenario.
