Why did Pablito get banned?
He was not banned for any post in P&S. Another forum's mod did the deed. "multiple infractions."

Thanks for the clarification.
What kind of idiot allows himself to get banned for "multiple infractions?" You'd think anyone with at least one living brain cell left would have the sense to not allow that to happen.
Oh, wait....
I was still a child when I joined the boards
I suspect P&S one of the few forums where you can get banned just for having the 'wrong' opinion on certain push-button issues.
Haha, for trying to slip this one in while CN is on sabbatical. Pretty sure you got banned for how you expressed you opinions and not because you held certain opinions.
Nonsense. Science evolves, especially in the psychiatric field, so trying to use the DSM from 100 years ago to assert that homosexuality is a mental disorder is retaaded.
So, nobody should be allowed to disagree with the most recent DSM? Amazin'!
And a big LOL for '100 years ago' Try fifteen years ago for certain push-button issues.
addendum: So, literally zero Psychiatrists ever disagree with the latest and greatest DSM? Amazin'!
In my opinion, one of the few things that Scientology is right about is their view of Psychiatry.
Not if they're using 2000-year-old text or muh feels as the cornerstone of their argument.

Is "push-button issue" your new word for trans?
In this case, yes.
My point wasn't to discuss any specific issue. My point was (and is): I'm unaware of any forum other than P&S in which one can get banned for disagreeing with the "Spirit of the Age" on some topics.
addendum: Which of course is a choice of the moderators to make as they see fit.
Of course you agree. It interferes with the main goal of religion: to control people.
My main objection to psychiatry is personal. In the mid-1990's, I freely (but foolishly) chose to take the advice of Psychiatrists and essentially lost 25+ years of my life by taking mind-altering prescription meds.

That's an amazing statement to make in a Politics Forum.
I don't agree with your characterization of religion, but for the sake of argument let's assume it's true that the main goal of religion is to control people.
Controlling people is the only goal of politics. Every law that has ever been enacted in all of history is to 'control people.' (Fortunately, most laws are probably good for most folks, but that's not relevant to my point.)
At least in America I'm free to join any church I want or choose to not belong to any church. And even folks who attend a church on a regular basis can choose to financially contribute to it (tithe or collection-plate offering, whatever) or be a freeloader and not give a dime to the church.
With politics, taxpayers have to pay whether they agree with the government's laws or not. Government controls your $$$ and your actions (in varying degrees), whether you like it or not.

Dunno, man. This seems to be the cycle:
Lag: I got banned for disagreeing with alternative lifestyles
CN: No. You got banned for hate speech regarding those lifestyles
Lag: Ok. Thx! You're the greatest mod ever!

Sorry you had to go through that.
Is it your contention that because you had some shitty psychiatrists that the entire industry is bunk? Do you do the same for other industries when you have a poor experience?

Well, the goal of religion is to control people so they can take their money. It's the ultimate grift.
You must agree, too, because how are there 4000+ religions if only one of them is correct? Are you going to say Christianity is the only path to heaven? If it is, then all the rest are bullshit, yes?

Calling a parishioner a freeloader for not coughing up money to a tax-exempt organization is pretty lmao. Jesus wants that pastor driving around town in a Benz. WWJD? He'd take someone's last ramen money for that GT63, of course.
In any case, not sure why you're comparing religion to government - especially when the current administration is skull fukking their religion onto everyone.

Like I already said, it was both of those things. It is literally against forum rules for anyone to assert that desiring to be trans is a mental illness. (Which is a perfectly reasonable choice for the mods to enforce.)
Sorry you had to go through that.
Thank you.
Is it your contention that because you had some shitty psychiatrists that the entire industry is bunk? Do you do the same for other industries when you have a poor experience?
My poor experience prompted me to do more research on the subject. My view isn't SOLELY due to my personal experience. That said, I doubt I can be objective on that topic which is one reason I seldom discuss it.
Well, the goal of religion is to control people so they can take their money. It's the ultimate grift.
Sometimes it's a grift and sometimes it isn't. I can go to any church I want for twenty years and not pay a dime. I don't know of any country that allows citizens to live there without paying a dime unless they're handicapped or indigent. Do you?
You must agree, too, because how are there 4000+ religions if only one of them is correct?
I don't know where this 4000+ religions comes from. Obviously if there are 4000 (or 2000 or 800000000 or 15) religions teaching different things, then AT MOST one of them is correct.
There are lively discussions about this in RGT if you wish to participate.
Are you going to say Christianity is the only path to heaven?
Yes, I am going to say that.
If it is, then all the rest are bullshit, yes?
Yes, I am going to say that as well.
Calling a parishioner a freeloader for not coughing up money to a tax-exempt organization is pretty lmao.
I think you missed my point. My point is that one can enjoy attending a church for free for their whole life if they want. And that's true whether the church files as a 501c3 corporation or not.
Jesus wants that pastor driving around town in a Benz.
I kinda doubt it. I've never been a member of a church that did not have a pastor who lived very modestly. Probably any church that has the pastor driving around in a Benz is best avoided imo.
WWJD? He'd take someone's last ramen money for that GT63, of course.
Now you're just being a troll. (Which is fine if you enjoy being a troll.)
In any case, not sure why you're comparing religion to government - especially when the current administration is skull fukking their religion onto everyone.
Every law on the books forces everyone to obey it whether they want to or not. And even if you hate Trump you have to pay your taxes so he can build his ballroom. and bomb Iran and/or nuke Cuba or whatever dumb thing he's up to.this weekend. None of that is true of any church I'm aware (in America).
You're free to go to church or not. You're not free to violate tax laws. I brought up government because you said the main goal of religion is to control people. My counter was that the ONLY goal of government is to control people (in different ways and in varying degrees).
*whew*
That's a wrap for me for now.. Have a good knight!
Excessive trolling or personal attacks can get you banned from pretty much any forum.
I suspect P&S one of the few forums where you can get banned just for having the 'wrong' opinion on certain push-button issues.
You mean the two things you get away with in the politics forum
That’s snowflake talk. Man up, chumps.
You guys are both wrong about ideology and religion imo. That religion and ideology can be used to control people doesn’t mean that’s their goal, let alone their main goal.
