I scare you? Don't be scared. Take a deep breath, it's gonna be ok.

That's right. Other than Trump instituting an oligarchy of billionaires that's going to squeeze the life out of people like you, he has nothing to fear because all the Trump simps won.

Imagine if Trump lost by a thin margin to Harris... Crew Orange would have made 1/6 look like a picnic. And since they wouldn't have been able to riot inside DC structures this time, they would have taken it to the streets and beat on old ladies and cripples and whatnot.

But it's funny watching the MAGA civil war unfold. Musk calling for more H-1B's so he can exploit them; MAGA screaming about American jobs being given to Indians, and the Vivek telling MAGA that they're too dumb to be Tesla engineers so they don't need to worry about it 😃

same way you reintroduce people who did this (which is far more insane than anything MAGA could ever come up with ) to society

you simply don't.

you accept you are forced to cohabit with people that are utterly and permanently ****ed up without limit, completely incompatible with everything you consider decent in human life, a direct threat to your life and your family life.

you start understanding politics is warfare, of the most vicious kind, it's a struggle of violence attempted to be used aga

Yes, because overthrowing democracy is = to SOME people wearing masks for no reason.

You're proving my false equivalency.

Trans rights, POC immigrating, and vaccinations justify ushering in oligarchy and fascism. I agree... low IQ people, being pawns for wealthy elite, while they distract people with nonsense culture wars, all the while stealing their money.

Distract, deflect, and rob. I've watched it get perfected over my lifetime. Since I'm in Mason's age range, I'm old enough to remember when you could just have reasonable arguments about regulations, and BS tax cuts for the wealthy, etc... NOW... conservatives are nowhere near reality anymore. I don't even know what they are talking about half the time. I have to go google latest conspiracy to understand wth they are saying.

You guys are about the get rudest awakening you've ever gotten, because these leopards are going to eat us all. ty

Obama's legacy will always be mass deportation, drone strikes on civilians, and intrusive surveillance on Americans.

and reviving racism

and reviving racism

Totally. Totally.

I’ll never be curious what Obama reviving racism is code for but I can only assume it’s ‘black people forgot their place so they needed a reminder’

you seem kinda curious

I watched the video.

By way of background, everyone's personal perspective is relevant to their comments. I was born in the 60's to parents who appreciated FDR and his alpha role during the Depression and WW2 that got him easily elected 4x. So, I leaned toward Democrats and I was a Boomer.

After my Boomer cohort had taken advantage of the richly funded public sector of our youth (90% top tax rate in the 50's and 70% in the 60's) and grown up with teachers who could afford to buy a house on a teacher's salary, we entered the workforce. And unsurprising, many of my enormous populated dominant generation decided we didn't want to pay taxes any more. So we elected Reagan who won 49 states in 1984.

So Democrats changed their stripes to accommodate Boomer voting power. Bill and Hillary Clinton were grifters. NAFTA, end of Glass Steagall and The Telecom Act were all things that Republicans were salivating over. Slick Willie did 'em all.

Obama was just a black version of Slick Willie w/o the inclination to rape women. His cabinet was dictated to him by an underling of Clinton's Treasury Sec Bob Rubin. His Ag Holder didn't prosecute the fraud on Wall St. Ten million people lost their homes and the banks got bailed out. His boys negotiated the TPP in secret for 6 years. He was exposed by Edward Snowden and threatened to lock him up and throw away the key. When health care was being debated, another "Democrat", Joe Lieberman, threatened to filibuster the inclusion of a Medicare buy-in. Obama didn't use the bully pulpit then or ever. He never fought for anything.

The video made me laugh when Sowell called Obama a far out ideological leftist.

I supported Bernie Sanders. Obama did everything in his power to make sure that Bernie never got elected POTUS. Bernie would have tried to govern like FDR. Obama is completely hostile to leftist goals.

Obama is a performing artist. He and the Clinton's both went from no wealth to 9 figure wealth as a result of their presidencies which did nothing whatsoever to stop what is now a half century of uninterrupted concentration of wealth in fewer and fewer hands. They took the payoff and worked for the rich.

Are the Republicans any better? No. But that's what Republicans had already been doing before Reagan. That's what I expect of them.

Obama is the one who opened my eyes. I actually cried when he was elected. Tears of joy. Boy, was I naive !!!

We're swirling the drain folks. Nobody is looking out for the working class. Trump appeals to their anger. They want someone to break the whole system.

Trump is authentic. He's a wolf in wolf's clothing.

Obama was inauthentic. A wolf in sheep's clothing. He faked a lot of people out. Including me for a time. I abhor dishonesty. It ranks among my personal least favorite things. In my world, that's evil and Obama excelled at creating a false image. I voted for him and I think he's as evil as anyone. Trump is scary .... but I find the reasons that people are demanding someone like Trump scarier than Trump himself. We have forgotten how to do anything other than make rich people richer. That's the only we do well as a country. We have lost the homeostatic mechanisms necessary to maintain a stable society. Homelessness went up in the US by a record 18% in 2024 while residential real estate has become a commodity for Wall St to gouge the public via algorithms designed to maximum rent. Neither political party is discussing this. The media is not discussing this. We are broken and swirling the drain very fast. Meanwhile Trump is enjoying paper billions in profit from his personal cryptocurrency token and pretending to be on the side of the average American. What a total farce.
