Mike Crapo crapped on us
Senator Mike Crapo from Idaho has crapped on poker players with the 90% tax loss thingy. I'm sure most of y'all have already heard, but he is the brainchild of the whole thing. I feel like maybe it would be a good idea to not reelect this guy to office. If you live in Idaho, please vote somebody else when midterms come.
I feel like we as poker players should create a movement to target individuals that create silly laws like this. That way when a lawmaker in the future thinks of creating a goofy law that threatens the livelihood of poker players they'll think twice about it rather than doing so with little to no repercussions. We could target everyone who voted for the bill to pass, but that would be too wide of a scope. The focus needs to be directed at a small group or individual in order to make an impact. What better person to take the fall than the one who came up with the idea to begin with. I think we should make a concentrated effort to keep this guy out of office.

He"s not up for reelection this year. He's 74 years old and has been in the Senate for 27 years. His current term doesn't expire for 3 years. There"s no guarantee he will run for reelection in 2028, but he did get nearly 61% of the popular vote in 2022. So good luck trying to get someone to beat him if he does decide to run again.
