President Elon Musk
He probably deserves his own thread at this point, discuss accordingly
So I guess the brainwashed people can be fed anything and believe it?
This is basically true, as recent history can attest.
Considering he already has a history of blocking and deleting stuff that attacks him, it should be pretty obvious. This is completely in-line with his behavior, and I've seen nothing suggesting it was fake anyway (though I haven't verified it yet - can't find the account I got it from).
For the record, trumpers, this is how you do it:
I have seen enough evidence to convince me that tweet is not real. I'm withdrawing my claim, admitting error, and BLOCKING THE ACCOUNT THAT SHARED IT.
You should do all of those things when your BS is called, too.
But you don't, which is why you have zero credibility.

I get it, your failures are our fault.
As expected, you don't get anything. Let's try this: do you think you should withdraw your claim and admit error when you find out you were mistaken?
Do you think you should continue to use sources that intentionally deceived you?
These should be easy questions.

good i believe you were in good faith which is why i didn't push on you when you posted that, i just mentioned high probability of fake.
Btw i did acknowledge using sources that were proven unreliable in the past.

Fair enough Luciom. I actually appreciate being called out when I do something stupid like that.
You could also look at what happened to Japan. (and W. Germany I guess)
I don't have the data on US assistance to Korea. Focused assistance that achieves financial independence and a higher standard of living is key.
There were also compelling reasons for S. Korea to obtain a higher standard of living and self sufficiency. For most other 3rd world nations, that strategic importance is much less.
One could also look at China post WW2. China took on ZERO foreign debt for 30 years. I don't need to sho
look at african growth post wwii
look at what happens right around the time they begin accepting US Aid and all the strings that come attached with it removing tariffs and opening up markets
then look at what happens once they begin rejecting washington consensus and taking no money or money from china that comes with far less complicated strings attached
this is why when you go to most of the world, there's no local products - it's all coca cola and nestle products on the shelves - the locally produced options are crushed and wiped out
with open markets, they are unable to compete on their own so they remain agricultural societies exporting raw materials that multi national companies which mine, process, and ship abroad enjoy the overwhelming majority of profits upon

Yes

No
If I make a mistake about something, I try to amend/correct the error. I try not to put context around it by claiming that I wish others would do the same thing.
One of my very favourite things is when some ignoramus starts talking about Africa as if it's a single country.
Yes
No

Good, then we agree. Not sure what you mean by "put context around it" because that doesn't describe what I was doing at all.
What I was doing was modeling behavior for people that have notoriously terrible behavior. I admit to it having a low chance of success, but I like to do my part.

Not a comment on whether the thesis and details are correct about any specific times in Africa, but
