If you want real options, vote for them. Get them some kind of critical mass. Your other option is to give up and change the system via revolution (good luck with that) or autocracy.
On an unrelated note, do you have insight as to why Native Americans voted for Trump at a higher rate than any other racial demographic, including whites? It was like 65/35 Trump iirc. I am not aware of any particular policy issue that would make that kind of difference.

I can only guess. I'd like to think it's punishing Dems for genocide, but I doubt it. probably just greed/ignorance :(
possibly a general hatred/mistrust of govt, and trump claiming to be different. while for sure Dems are establishment
trump has an obvious history of terrible land management, and desire to take native lands and exploit them. he's open about it.

I think it's that the Democrats are increasingly seen as the party for the rich and focused on niche issues (Ukraine, transgender rights, etc) whereas Republicans are seen as more working class and focused on bread and butter stuff-- and so the native american vote is just mirroring other trends like with the hispanic vote.
they know more about some of American history, like Abraham Lincoln overseeing the largest mass execution... 38 starving people who were fighting white people for stealing their food
and they know about the residential schools, and Columbus, and the doctrine of discovery, and the supreme court rulings, and treaty violations
they also tend to know more about things like equality and harmony, and respect for nature
and Andrew jackson's genocidal policies, and straight up ignoring the supreme court when they ruled he needs to calm down on the genocide
You know those things on their behalf.
They are shockingly illiterate. They live in corrugated metal shacks without running water. And they don't know **** about harmony or balance as evidenced by their votes.
