plane: paper/spy/fighter/cycle/field

spy/fighter is why plane over airplane
cycle the only other transportation device on the board so I thought it may be higher on the list

I've never heard a cockpit called a "pit" so that never crossed my mind...just not a nickname I've heard of before

I thought about going rebook - 0 to get you to finish fighter/cycle/field since that gets you off change/hotel and you'd have all 5 since insanity's first post list was great other than those 2 + pit, but we weren't gonna win taking time for a 0 clue, so I pushed through it

produce: kiwi, date, field, fair

I was thinking of State Fairs, where produce is like half the stuff; largest watermelon, best jelly and pie competitions, usually held on farmland, etc.
This was a case where I was saying the word in my mind as produce and didn't even think of produce as another pronunciation/definition...my bad

was going orchard for a bit for the first 3, but needed to get fair in the mix for us to have a shot

carousel - unlimited

here there is no way you can go fish

one person said they liked fish, the other 2 said NO emphatically and the original person said ok

the only 2 words as spymaster that I can think you will makeup on unlimited is fighter+field as field was next bolded and ya'll had agreed on fighter as the +1

nothing else was discussed and fish was ruled out, so I can't expect you to go fish for the unlimited, only for the clue

for carousel I needed cycle/fair/whale...carousels are full of animals that you ride on...I coulda done Ferris for cycle+fair also; I chose carousel because what makes it different are the animals; I hoped you'd go whale as an animal that often you'll see/ride on a carousel (maybe dolphin more often, but still)

I'm also not sure why you ever went change as a makeup

It couldn't be for unlimited since it was just mentioned one time the first round (and below hotel which you didn't guess instead)

And you didn't guess it for carousel

All of your words have to be in the unlimited+carousel there so not sure why change was all of a sudden done

i was thinking to myself why carousel over ferris, and did think of the animal angle, but also thought it had to hit produce. plus ferris bueller could make it complicated, so i never brought it up

change was also mentioned for produce

I shoulda just done orchard - 3 and you go kiwi/date/field and makeup fighter

then I go carousel - 3 for fair/cycle/whale and maybe you go more on animal path since you know all other words are made up

but I guess I thought produce had a bigger State Fair connection and I completely botched that produce had another meaning with the other pronunciation

"farmers" maybe gets fair? hard to say. fair sucks to clue for

change does too, but it wasn't ours :(
