Stock cars are a thing.

But I've seen car used to clue pool in this game several times and I don't recall seeing it used for stock before, so I think it's less likely to be missed.

Stock Car is the SC in NASCAR.

Slip and fall has to do with footing?

I'm very confused as to why deck is a lock here.

The foundation of decks are called footings

As soon as I saw the clue it was my first thought, but I had my deck replaced a few years ago

If that's literally what they are called, it's kinda hard to argue against that.

it is, but it would usually be plural because each concrete hole that you place a post into is called a footing, so you'd have multiple footings in a deck

but footings is awkward for slip or fall or anything else so I can see going footing since a deck footing is a thing, you just have multiple footings in a deck

footing+slip would be my guess in a vacuum but I'm open

if clue were footings I'd go deck+brass because you have metal around the post at the footing so footing avoids deck and hits slip pretty well

I could see slip and fall being something like balance, so I think your deck idea is probably what insanity was going for.

It seems like only Nich knows about it, but this would be a weird word to use if it's not referring to deck. (Also super unlucky if it were slip/fall and deck just happened to be one of the other words)
