Higher of Lower: Random Edition

Higher of Lower: Random Edition

I'll make a false statement and you guys guess higher or lower. Same deal as the other game basically, except these will be totally random and they won't correlate to the question number at all.

I don't have a set of q's to ask, so this will be mostly just be whatever happens to come to my mind at the time. Let's say if you get to 10 in a row, you win!

1. Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro have collaborated on 9 films together

(Note: they made a short film together in 2015 called The Audition, which I am not counting.)

I just remember those stairs kicking my ass every morning climbing up to 13.

Think of it as training for the Brain Freezer race.

You guys are good at this. There are 1665 steps, but only 674 of them are open to the public.

7. Roger Federer spent 240 consecutive weeks at world no. 1

Higher?

The guy was untouchable in the mid-2000s outside of specifically Rafael Nadal and specifically on clay, and he didn't have any serious injuries over that time frame.

I'd definitely believe that it was over 5 years.

Nadal got to #1 after Wimbledon in 2008

240/52 = 4.6 years

So Federer would've had to be #1 from like January 2004 hmmmm

Hewitt was defo #1 in 2003 and i'm pretty sure Roddick was in 2004

Roddick early 2004 probably so let's say Federer got to #1 after he won the 2004 AUS open in late January

Late Jan 2004 - Mid July 2008 is how many weeks who wants to figure it out :p

My gut says higher

Roddick won the 2003 US Open which is always the last major of the year

It's tight, and it could go either way, but I lean toward higher, too.

1st January 2004 to 31st August 2008 is (52x4) + (4x8) = exactly 240

I'll die on the hill that he wasn't number #1 after 31st August 2008, Nadal was

Just whether he was #1 for like a few weeks in late 2003 or not, my gut says no

About 238.

Pog should guess this one

About 238.

Missed that you said late January. More like 235 then.

i'm no help

Federer did win his first major at Wimbledon in 03 so it's defo possible he was #1 in late '03 and i'm not 100% sure Roddick was #1 after he won his only major (US 2003)

If any Americans in here can remember if Roddick was ever #1 then I say we go lower, if not then higher

No clue but impressive work

Looking forward to it being exactly 239 or 241

Hmmm I'm a big Federer fan but apparently not big enough to know this

I think when fed won his first Wimbledon he was ranked #4....I think he knocked Sampras out in a huge quarter or semi and ended his reign, next year had huge expectations and lost very early, and then the year after was kinda chill and just crushed to win his first

This is really close

Dang I can't remember if roddick was ever number #1 or not, Lleyton Hewitt I think was around that general time?

Do we know how Federer did in the French and Australian before Wimbledon/or how roddick did?

I could see fed being ranked very high after the Wimbledon win as I don't think he had a lot of points rolling from the year before so had to accumulate a lot in other events

Now was that the 2002 us open or did anyone else have a monster year? I do not know

I don't have a fancy explanation but somehow I feel reasonably sure that it's under.

no way Roddick was number 1

Is somebody gonna bold something or what
