Politically it's definitely a big deal so that was a fair point. This is the politics thread.

poor alex pretti, killed by 8 billion people

I don't think "you voted for it" is a correct line of thinking at all and I don't think you can lay this murder at the feet of every Trump voter.

I voted for Kamala Harris. I ****ing hate Kamala Harris. I voted for her IN COALITION.

I refused to vote for Hilary Clinton and I now think that is incorrect as well. I should have voted for her in coalition, even if she is a lizard person or whatever.

The only reason Republicans win elections is that Republicans go in there and vote for everyone with an R next to their name they do not give a single **** about any policy or position or anything. That's our guy.

Lefties and Libs aren't happy unless the candidate matches them issue-for-issue.

That said, if you are a Trump SUPPORTER then you killed that man.

this is not supported by data

both issues are true for both parties

Government sanctioned (and praised) murder in the street is not the same as gang violence. Not even close.

This is a huge deal.

they have been encouraged to be violent and told they would be immunized by executive order

this is an army of fresh recruits raised on a separate book

they are being trained and led by the sycophants who survived the immediate legal and ethical personnel purge

multiple states have been invaded by federal forces

they have actually sued to get the forces out, and the courts have said "no, for now" - which means the states don't want the feds there, but the feds' own courts said "too bad"

so much for states' rights or is it only certain states on certain issues?

poor alex pretti, killed by 8 billion people

juxtapose the martyrs

one was a shock-jock provocateur on the way to delivering borderline hate speech, shot by a random 20 year old

the other was an icu nurse (at a veterans hospital) helping up a lady that had just been shoved, shot multiple times while prone by a federal law enforcement officer

can we all agree that nobody really needs guns on the street?

police don't, people don't. guns are for killing. We should try to not do that.

by pwnsall m

Is this a big deal? Sort of. It's a big deal because it's though of as big deal.

Spoiler
Show

do you think police freely killing any person who stands in their way is not a big deal?

Agree with a lot of this, but I'm not drawing any distinction between Trump voter and Trump supporter.

I can and have forgiven Trump 2016 voters. He was a wild card and Hillary was terrible.

A Trump voter in 2024 though? Nope.

The protestors or ICE?

If people voted for Trump and ICE doing their thing then is getting in their way fighting against democracy?

Anecdotes from the Internet are ICE have gotten very incompetent and stand offish with departments they interact with over the last year.

that one guy that dressed up like a Nazi was funny. I guess he's like the boss of ice? I try to ignore him

by pwnsall m

The protestors or ICE?

which group has been killing unarmed civilians?

"they made me do it". damnit grok, go rewatch Jurassic Park.

yes because people would have voted against democracy, which is one vote you're not allowed to make. no paradox this way.

This one?

yep that's the one. when he was getting all that flack for dressing up like a Nazi, I was thinking I could totally see myself doing something like that accidentally. like thinking "oh wow this coat looks cool! I'm gonna wear it!" and then totally unbeknownst to me, it's Nazi cosplay lol...

but then I'd never be the head of ice.

I hope his next job is guillotine tester

One minute you're gleefully goosestepping around Minneapolis in patent leather boots and an SS-approved Hugo Boss Waffen-Overcoat, the next minute you're just some schmuck who can never show his face in public without being ridiculed by women, shamed by men, and poked with sharp sticks by children. I hope he gets leukemia and falls into a well.

this guy is ****ing wasted 😮

That's nice. The pigs do have them though. People do have them. I am not voluntarily disarming myself in America.

the black panthers used guns to stop pigs from killing and terrorizing. it worked until they were overwhelmed, and didn't get the community support they needed. if even just a tiny fraction of us stood up to our oppressors we would crush them

like in Russia in 1917

actually same thing happened to communist Russia as the black Panthers, just on a much bigger scale. they were overwhelmed and didn't get the support they needed from the rest of us

Same exact thing happened then as now, "conservatives" suddenly became super concerned about folks bringing guns to a protest and think about passing some gun laws.

If you are unaware, California's relatively strict gun control laws were a direct response to Black Panther activity, championed by Governor Ronald Reagan.

Always the same horseshit. 2A applies to conservative white people only.

These people have been open carrying AR-15s at protests for the past twenty years. Now it's a problem.
