If there's anything worse than a Republican, it has to be a white Republican. I bet he's not even gay or trans.

I wonder what Cooper Flagg's politics are.

they're more into children and imported sex slaves than each other, but I'm not sure it's by choice

"Law and Order" and "Family Values" are things that people oppose by continuing to support these villains and their party.

generally speaking, politicians from whatever party, are complete scum

war crimes and corruption are the norm

I was doing to say they're demonic, but that's giving demons a bad name

they're like car salesman, but on a much bigger scale

I deleted the post listing the offenses because it's just gross and possibly traumatic. Sorry for posting it.

I wish I could delete the other linked one, but it's too late.

I won't pretend that either party is angelic, but I don't think the democrats are quite so irony-laced in their messaging and platforming.

and it's an especially bad look when you are passing legislation that makes it harder for the category of victims of your heinous actions to recover from the types of harm your actions caused

or to vilify others who have not committed your crimes as though they had

like I do get what you mean about the Dems being not as irony laced, and I agree in terms of sexual deviancy, and drug use.

but totally think overall the Dems are MORE irony laced because the Dems are supposed to be the good guys! fighting for the working class! lol.. when really their whole thing is exploiting people and resources to benefit the ruling class.

The Democrats use to be for the working class. But no longer. They are the party of the fringe and rich elitists.

The Republicans are now the party of the working class!

I will summon a demon at need. I would never summon a politician.

maybe MAYBE at one time the Dems were the party of the white working class. but Dems never represented the interests of people of color. they were pro slavery ffs. they hated MLK and Malcolm X. they hated Cesar Chavez. they always wanted to steal native land.

Obama and Biden put kids in cages with their brutal immigration policies.

they've always in bed with the mega corporations, and oil corporations, and war machine. they love sending working class kids to war

but no, the repubs are not the party of the working class lol. they are destroying public education and social security and the environment, and literally stealing wealth from the working class and giving it to the wealthy

Dems never represented the interests of people of color.

In the 1960's, the Democratic party made deep changes in the law which did, dramatically even, improve conditions for people of color, ie Civil Rights Act (1964), Voting Rights Act (1965), Fair Housing Act (1968).

no, the repubs are not the party of the working class lol

Republicans are the working class party now only insofar as the working class is recently voting for republicans, but their votes are being cast from positions of cultural grievance and misperceptions about the economy (eg., "Bidenflation"). There is a subreddit called LeopardsAteMyFace where leftist schadenfreuden trololol over republican voters bemoaning the loss of their government benefits even while reaffirming their commitment to the Republican party.

Most High Supreme Court says money is speech. We're Free SpeechMoney Absolutists when it comes to MoneySpeech.

these positions and perceptions arise
directly from extremely effective
rightwing propaganda networks

death-stage Capitalism
Alienation from the product of Labor and Activity
Reification of Social Relations into a
crumbling exoskeleton of lost Genealogy

bullriding the societal death-rattle
rawdogging the eschaton
everything you fear has already happened

"territorial interest" - lolololol

Gotta put Canada and Panama on that interest list too.

iirc Dems were opposed to civil rights. took massive demonstrations and organized resistance to get them to finally give in, and reluctantly pass civil rights legislation

Yep, e.g. Democrat Senator Robert Byrd... Oh yeah and his buddy Joe Biden.

The new AOC and new Filthy political sweetheart? She's coming after the old guard Democrats.

and i thought pete buttigieg had an unfortunate name for politics

Democrats used to be the party of the South (agrarian chattel slavery) and Republicans the North (industrial wage slavery).

They pretty much flipped when the Civil Rights Act went through, so at the time, yeah there would have been some voices in opposition on the Dems and in support in the Repubs.

Talking about today's Democratic and Republican parties, the 60's is the starting point for the Dems and a turning point for the Repubs.

Today's Republicans I guess would look to Trump's first term, although Sarah Palin I think really got that ball rolling under McCain's failed bid in '08.

Similarly, I think (hope) today is the turning point for the Dems, with Bernie really getting the movement going in 2016.

Biden didn't run for Congress until 1972. He's gone; get over him.

"Denmark is not doing its job"... meanwhile, billions of Congressionally appropriated and designated dollars have been illegally impounded by the US executive, whose literal job is to disburse those funds.

The former [anonymous] White House official pointed out that members of Trump’s Cabinet — including the vice president, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, among others — were likely using personal devices, since in most cases, Signal cannot be downloaded onto official federal devices. This alone creates a host of cybersecurity issues.

“Their personal phones are all hackable, and it’s highly likely that foreign intelligence services are sitting on their phones watching them type the **** out,” the former White House official warned.

Reagan. What little ideology they have came directly out of that specific marriage of Vague Religiosity and Demagoguery. Abortion was not a meaningful political topic until after Roe, and the Reagan Right used it as a fulcrum on which to weigh the electorate.
