Regular Run of the Mill NO LIST Codenames!

I've had some minor mtg success and know a couple sleights and have been called this as a nickname many times

Big one is there's an NBA legend named Earvin "Magic" Johnson

He played for the LA Lakers, had a great rivalry vs Larry Bird that was before my time but I know all about, excellent all around player particularly known for passing and basketball IQ

I wasn't going to say it but I'll be mentioning Lab as a stretch as he did sadly develop an unfortunate condition but it was miraculously healed to the point that Lab stands out but as like word 7

It was the Showtime Lakers too

I forgot about magic johnson, but that makes total sense. Problem is it's really hard to know if/how many words are related to him with a clue like that. Court seems good, but I'm not sure I like anything after that.

Theater works for both the player and the abracadabra magic theater so should be one I would think

Well knowing that MJ was probably intended, I like arm and jam next? I'm not really feeling the rest of your list, even though I don't know what I'd replace them with.

I'm feeling Doctor a lot just cause of Doctor J, arm is actually sorta the weakest to me and one I'd move down

Doctor J another legendary basketball figure and also nickname like Magic, now that Court is right I'm liking it a lot, and Jam too

I could maybe see doctor for the witch doctor connection, but the basketball connection is a massive reach imo. Would def have both arm and jam ahead of it.

To me this is like a "what is it?" Connection and hits really hard

I mean we have 1 word related to him so far, and the clue is obviously not related to him only. So yeah, nickname of a completely different player is a huge stretch.

If the clue was Helsinki and there was any other city up there I'd be guessing it

Obv I see the stretchiness or just non intention of it so that's my piece but does hit hard, and harder then Arm imo which doesn't actually hit at all besides kinda seem to hit
