Good game.

You guys did eventually guess right that my intended fourth word for picket was Staff, but when you locked in on Screen I rolled with it.

I think I was going with Airport, capitalized, for Bermuda/Phoenix. Had to pick a *destination* word that didn't hit beach. But I think it should have worked.

Night Tap Organ...Dressing?

dressing really means stuffing as a food item

but dressing up is something you do for the ballroom, so I can get down with dressing

tap for tap dance? meh you don't really tap dance in a ballroom; not bad but don't love it

Don't really view ruler as a mustguess, like sure I can see some connection, but you wouldn't think Trump > ballroom really so it's more a 2stepper, a little stronger but to me Tap is a must. Tap dance is totally a thing and why would we be getting this clue if it's not for the dancing

I mean the only context you mostly ever hear about ballrooms is for palaces/white house/disney/etc. so ruler seems to hit it pretty hard

night/tap/organ/dressing would just be dance/party type clue

Fever is a blocker for both, mug could block party, some other stuff in the way too

On a dance clue we don't really guess night or dressing(not saying this is right over ruler, I could be swayed here) but gotta be organ night tap first

i'm not convinced that anybody tap dances in a ballroom

you do many types of dances there, but not really tap dancing

in fact, tap is a blocker for cluing dance/party so could be one of the reasons it's ballroom; not a big fan of tap and it's 2-step connection of ballroom->dance->tap dance

You dance in a ballroom, there is no other dance word up there. Tap is the reason it is a "dancing" room, otherwise could have been variety of other stuff or rooms

ok, i'm good with tap, ruler, organ, dressing

balls are often at night but don't have to be; I think dressing up for them is more of a component of ballroom than just 'night'

ballrooms evoke older days so organ is good plus for music even if modern ballrooms prolly don't use an organ anymore
