I think there were some musketeers but the famous ones were fictional while Aztecs are real humans

eeeh idk camaraderie is a more complicated clue and could hit way more stuff imo, like Spurs maybe instead of brother or could be something random like Fair or Ambulance discussed

Diary was maybe a bit of a loose clue, but I wanted to make sure that attic and map would be guessed because there were a lot of blockers for those words, and brother/musketeer were super easy to reclue. Or so I thought...

My thought on Bottle 0 first was you wanted to remove genie so you could go with the other fantasy stuff like troll, King Arthur, Aztec, musketeer so I woulda guessed some of those turn one

Yep. And I saw that I could knock out genie and spray with that clue, but capitalized the clue to indicate that genie was the one to guess against. I thought of Aladdin, but then went for Bottle. I forgot about the monkey in Aladdin.
The coach clue was for Spurs/Sun/Ambulance. I avoided a basketball clue out of the gate for spurs/sun/sub because of rock/brother. I abandoned it again 2nd turn because brother was still on the board and we’d already gifted a blue word. I should’ve done a 4-clue with coach to include sub. I knew drill would get in the way, but didn’t expect brother to. I was lost by that point anyway. I was going to have to reclue all the fantasy/myth stuff and there wasn’t a single chance Egypt wasn’t going to be bolded early.
i would like sub more than brother if the clue was coaching. and ibd is a big fan of the person/person connection

Am I really? I know I’m a sucker for name clues, but didn’t realize this about person clues. I always feel like I overlook those (like in the case of coach—>brother).
