it was makeup and ervin didn't like it high so I moved it down thinking we had common ground with him

for strike, I have exactly 7 words I like:
thunder
stamp
glove
tea
pole
guitar
oil

The only thing I was adamant about was that tea was guessed top 2 and ervin was coming around I think. Was pretty unhappy when I saw how far down it was moved.

Ok I guess you strike oil, so that seems fine. Missed that on first pass and it hits fruit also. Not sure I understand a couple of those.

pole has 3 connections:
people striking hold up a pole with sign on it
use a pole to strike things
poles from poland striking
(mostly the first connection is why)

They're pretty weak imo, although obviously there's gonna be some stretches. I'd definitely be dumping tea if I didn't already like it so much, and we still need 4 fruit words lol. Apart from that and oil, I can't make any of them work even if I squint. Sack has to be one of them surely.

And I still like homer even though it's basically the opposite of strike. I totally overlooked it when we got the action clue, but it makes a lot of sense for that too.

Is there some kind of stamp strike?

Strike is clearly a hail mary clue and a couple of these words may have almost no relation to the clue at all.

I still don't like pole that much. It's weak for strike and doesn't hit the other clues at all. I'd rather guess stuff that at least relates to the other clues first and see where we land.

Only options I see for final fruit word:

Bucket - not great for strike, but maybe in gold strike you need a bucket with your shovel so somewhere to put the gold you find

Slip - slip on banana peel; works for action also; strike and slip both fighting words I guess

Stamp - strike and action means this is ours anyway; but fruit often has a stamp or sticker on it; and kids stamps are sometimes fruit smelling like they do fruit smelling markers and stickers

All seem kinda weak and kinda ok

If we need another action word then slip is ok but if not then stamp can work for all 3 prolly

Yeah but strike hits almost everything on the board depending on what definition you wanna use. Pole doesn't hit any other clue, which is mostly why I'm against it.
