And yeah, I'm on team guess 2 and pass. Even if there was another word mentioned somewhere, neil is extremely strict on the no list thing and would likely only do n-1 here if it was something we actually bolded.

I'm worried about giving them a word obv. Or even just removing a potential blocker is not great.

Cluing a 0 with meth just seems odd if scratch is ours when there are about a million other clues he could have used instead that avoid that entirely.

Also, I thought he was avoiding belt with no wrestling clue, or maybe both. And maybe even ring as well...impossible to know for sure. Just because they were choosing between 2 words, it doesn't mean the other one is correct.

And if neil really is doing the n-1 thing, then scratch would be the +1 and we need another pick word. I really doubt he is expecting/wanting us to just yolo something.
