Q: Who performs a reveille?
A: a bugler

ok....let's break this down:

aquatic: penguin/life/cold; wanted to avoid antarctica that goes so well with penguin/cold
frosty: cold/? ; still need to figure out the 2nd frosty word

our list was:
rock
tap
cap
cloak

we thought rock didn't hit reveille but I guess because it's music it did; but we guessed rock, so our list now was:

cap
cloak

he did not go reveille-0 again to get us to guess those 2, so they aren't both correct
he did not go bugler -1 so cap is wront
he did not go bugler - unlimited so cloak is wrong

I think taps IS correct...reveille is start of day bugle call and taps is end of day or funeral call...we eliminated it for bugle connection, but he then clued bugler so taps is back in play

but if reveille was to eliminate rock/cap/cloak for some reason, then why that 0 clue; what is our last word? did we have something else mentioned in earlier list?

only other word mentioned on a list before was washer...and then I mentioned night for frosty but it wasn't on a list...but it could be last frosty word moreso than washer

so words left:

Bat - don't see it for bugler or frosty
Brush - same
Cap - no, not n-1
Change - don't see it for either word
Cloak - no, not unlimited
Night - could be frosty; could be bugler since they play taps at night
Queen - could be bugler; a reason for bugler not bugle is it's another person; also some Queens are described as frosty; a consideration
Swing - swing music has brass instruments like maybe a bugler in it; maybe?
Tap - bugler is a good hit for this; I'm liking it
Tick - don't see it
Unicorn - don't see it
Washer - other word on our earlier list, but don't see it for frosty; I guess a washer is a person just like a bugler is, so this could be it and would better explain the 0 clue

so I'm on:
tap - pretty good here
night/washer/queen - all decent but not great

Yeah, he using the 0 clue as an opposite clue (wake up vs go to sleep) and we took it as a “don’t touch anything that could relate” clue.

I’m on swing and tap, even tho the better clue is dancing. Not a single chance am I touching washer with a spin clue. Night and Queen make almost literally zero sense to me for this clue.

I think tap was a frosty word (serves frosty beverages). In a normal world, cold + tap just about always has to be a beer clue, but if you’ve been paying attention to this game, we don’t live in a normal world.

i'm def on tap but I like night

if Reveille is for opposite then Tap+Night are the opposite as Reveille is for the morning

if it's tap+swing he shoulda just done dance; I literally said last time that tap hits dance, and of course swing does

oh wait, bugler doesn't really hit night tho...ugh

well, taps is a night bugler so night hits that way

and it hits really well with 0 clue being opposite of reveille last time rather than our list

so think I like tap+night better; tough combo to hit so could be why we got these weird clues

for the future:

if our list is:
Rock
Tap
Cap
Cloak

and Tap is ours (but not the other 3), then just clue the final word - unlimited and we'll know to pick 2nd word on the list bc you didn't do n-1 so not rock, and unlimited can't be for more than 1 word because only 2 words left, so it must be for skipping rock and choosing tap

My biggest struggle is that Night makes sense for the Reveille clue, but not for the bugle clue.

BUT

I have to believe Neil was clueing for the win with the Reveille clue. No way was he just try to clue tap. Because of that, I’m fine with night. Any other word and last round’s clue had approx. 2.7% chance of us winning with a wild guess. It makes much more sense being night than it does being something like swing (which hits bugle way harder, but would never have been deduced from Reveille - 0)

Don’t see anything opera about dumbo and there are no words for flying or circus related words so I think those 3 + star backup are all we need
