I’d prob put Capital on there somewhere, as I’m sure there were players from the Caps who played on the team. Same with Maple (Leafs).

Not sure why he’d clue Begins and not DKR if stadium is ours, but I can’t see us not bolding that.

Unless the Miracle on Ice was played on Saturn, we can probably remove that from consideration.

Everything we guess must be connected to the movie. This isn’t like a “hockey” clue in the regular variant.

Actually, pretty sure the US team back then was all amateur, college players and such - which I think was a rule in the Olympics until the 90s. But I’m sure plenty of them went on to play for the likes of the Leafs and Caps, and maybe that was mentioned in the story.

Either way, I can’t see us not guessing either of those. But guessing something like Saturn is a no-go imo.

We need two more for Batman Begins, and I could see compound and sock being those two. Not stadium because no DKR.

Maple and Capital are locks for a hockey clue, but this clue is much more specific. Still might be worth it to guess them.

It’s possible that the 5-clue could also deny compound, since traditional endgame from Nich is n-1 for first on list and unlimited for 2nd on list. BUT, we need five, so this isn’t traditional endgame, and Nich could’ve been more intent on clueing the total number we need (and explicitly denying car) rather than leaving us with ambiguity on whether car was to be skipped or not. It would’ve been tough for us to discern that unlimited was meant to be 4+1, with the 1 being 2nd on the list. That’s layers of meta that I’m fine with ignoring in this situation.

wanted to clue Dark Knight Trilogy, but not specifically allowed

re: Shakespeare, if we can't clue a Shakespeare play/movie/book then it needs to go off the list as he's only a character in one movie: Shakespeare in Love and one episode of Dr Who...so either we have to always clue Dr Who for Shakespeare or we are allowed to clue one of his plays/movies for him

some movies have people do a shakespeare play or recite shakespeare I guess, but The Tempest is entirely people doing a shakespeare play/reciting shakespeare

while on the topic, I think if Queen is on the board, someone can clue Bohemian Rhapsody to get Queen and Lightning and gun and whatever else

we can't clue the author/artist/band/director/etc. but if we clue one of their works, I think that should be legal to clue for them
