LUMPY no more or less likely than DUMPY, HUMPY or JUMPY imo...

I've never used the word Humpy in my life. I've said Dumpy perhaps a couple of times to describe someone who's short and a bit fat, but i never considered it a "proper word" Jumpy, Lumpy and Bumpy were all candidates for me though.

I think that the pool of "winning" words for Wordle is somewhat limited to more common 5 letter words, so your approach that more obscure = less likely to hit (and vice versa) makes absolute sense.

TBH when I saw the the PY hit in the first word I didn't give much thought on how to proceed. It just seemed like an unlikely spot to miss it in 6. Can't speak for Housenuts but my pick was probably a reflection of how much effort I wanted to put into this one based on that. That said, neither of us were trying to hit the correct word, obv and we both saw something appealing about LUMPY....

After I hit vivid I knew it was rigid. Thought I'd be forced to go for it but was pleasantly surprised that 2 other words were accepted.

this is more of a big deal than it looks. Not only did you have to come up with 4 obscure _I_RD words but you had to get the 50/50 right on turn 5. If it was timid then it was game over.

thought I may not be able to think of another word besides RIGID but GIRTH saved me

last word was either TIMID or RIGID, unless there was a __ I __ A D word I could not think of.

had STOCK, STORK or SHOCK, but was also pretty sure STOCK was an answer recently..

After turn 4 i was fairly confident the answer was GROAN. I saw GROIN but needed to come up with another word to put first and not force me to play GROAN. After a few minutes of random submissions I finally got something.
