Despite having been reassured by 2 mods that me posting today's answer has happened to other people and is likely to happen again, I am sincerely embarrassed to have had it happen to me. My error doesn't appear to have altered results today but I am still extremely sorry. Probably like me the rest of you do the puzzle first and only then come to the thread to post and check everyone else's answers.
I won't let it happen again but there is an old chess adage "a good player only makes the same mistake twice". Let's hope not.

Not sure what your "error" was. I assumed you forgot to put spoilers on your answer.
But no worries Gordie. Even if nobody made the mistake before, it would all be good. This is a pretty laid back group and it is a very casual thing we are doing here with Wordle. EDIT. IMO the fun is (1) seeing how we all play the same word and (2) the scoring is mostly to encourage people not to miss a day and get a 7.

It seems the only person who saw it was Donk who fixed/edited it for me. I see where he still hasn't played today. I am definitely down with him scoring a 2 for helping me out

You didn't spoil me, i play wordle almost always like right after the clock strikes midnight, i leave posting it to the next day because I don't want to be posting the new wordle when it's still the previous day in America in case I spoil anyone.

When I did the puzzle last night I thought everyone would be getting 2 or 3. I only saw 2 viable words: LARGE and SABRE. After I was done I looked up all the possibilities after beginning with RATED. There are 44, but most are just way too obscure. However there are actually 7 great options. BARGE CARVE EARLY FARCE LARGE PARSE and the least likely of them, my original 2nd choice SABRE. It was pretty easy to pick LARGE over SABRE. Ignorance is Bliss in action!
Just looked them up and the bolded were actually previous answers, so technically 5 options
