First thought is salad but no L7 confirmed for lettuce means it's probably not salad.
dressing can mean a few things
salad dressing, but no lettuce means prolly not
other dressings like condiments since no c allowed; so like ketchup or mustard could be clued this way; not ketchup bc there is an m and no mustard clue (m7 but they said m5/7 which means those are same word just with ed at the end or drop e/y and add ing, etc...not a word like mustard)
dressing as in stuffing; so turkey, thanksgiving, feast type words
dressing as in getting dressed...so words around that
gotta give it some thought for what m5/m7 could be (and L6 shadowfax)
You also dress a wound
Bandage, gauze, band-aid
Medic/medical would be m5/m7
Prolly not the brand band-aid and for gauze you gotta go medical gauze so prolly just m7
So I think I like bandage best; dressing is another way to say it
Not sure on L6 but something in the realm of ligature seems likely
Thoughts? Other ideas on the exact word if we think medical dressing is the meaning?
This works. I thought of dressing a wound as well but I couldn't figure out M5/M7

F4 or e4 are both good starts, but neither get there on their own unless they can deduce some stuff. I think e4 followed by m6 or something is the way to go unless someone has a banger.
No bangers in immediate two rounds so I'm happy with your plan
We go e4 and it's 65% that Nich figures out f4 and binks it.
